Thanks for reply. I will sit tight and prey..not that I have been checking every day or minute or anything! I have the white with blue checks mini Car on your list for sat am... this would be my first run in it since 2005! If I am lucky enough to get a place. Was a hill climb 1275 for a while back then and I took it off road to do the zcar kit...kids career and covid later and I am happy to pay a bribe to get a place! Thanks for coming back. Phil.

It will certainly sound loud so attract people when it's on circuit if that's a consideration for you. I didn't apply for autosolo etc cos will put too much pressure on chain first time out. I have just been round the streets and a couple of motorway trips.. followed by copious amounts of checking bolts after!

Wasn't going to apply for the Autosalon but since there's space...just filled in the form.
Many thanks for your consideration :-)

Had to make some baffles last minute to run last year, so hopefully when you say loud you don’t mean too loud

No bribes required in this game but seeing as you are "super keen" I will say you are on my approved shortlist so just sit back and wait for the email

They run 1950 f1s there amongst other things like formula junior two stroke and those things scream...so should be fine? I have never measured it

I have never measured it They tested at 1m behind the exhaust at 3/4 throttle or something. I downloaded an app on my phone and it was 109db I think so made some baffles quick. I think the sensors on the track will just get you black flagged if you trigger them, but remember people having to short shift to not trigger them.

I have never measured it They have four days where they can run unregulated for noise levels, Revival and Members Meeting eat those days. I'm sure bstardchild knows the dB levels needed off the top of his head

I'm sure bstardchild knows the dB levels needed off the top of his head Indeed we have to comply with Goodwoods std track noise limits For Goodwood "Saturday" Power laps or the "new activity" in the afternoon All vehicles will require noise testing - Noise Limits - 105dB static, 101dB drive past. Test is carried out at 75% of the maximum RPM so 6,000 would be 4,500 and 7,000 would be 5,200 For Goodwood "Sunday" - it's effectively a "quiet day" and no vehicles are noise tested prior to the Autosolo However the Autosolo is only in one small section of the track it does have a noise meter near the start point so any vehicle tripping that one would be excluded from the activity (probably only after advice given to "moderate the launch" failed to resolve the issue)

Can I ask a dumb question..that I already know the answer to..but I think it's a fair one? Is the noise level the same for a bike engine as a car engine? Cos they don't half scream cos of the larger rev range they have..so three quarters of a bike engine rpm is over the redline of most cars? And most cars would fail noise level at max rpm? I guess? Ta

I wouldn't be too worried about the noise level, my mates car was about 5db over the limit stood still and it is a screaming V6. They allowed it through and even though he was giving it some on the track it never tripped the noise sensors or whatever they've got.

At the risk of sounding a bit dim, but where is the campsite exactly? Not camped before so hadn't taken particular notice of where it was, wasn't sure if I'd missed further details on an email or something
