I’m never going to get around to finishing this so it’s time for it to go.
1999 VW Caddy 1.6 Petrol - V5 AQN Conversion Project.
Have a look here to see what I’ve done
forum.retro-rides.org/thread/201579/caddy-van-vr5-project-pedals
Comes with;
AQN Conversion already fitted.
V5 ECU has been de-immobilised and had the EGR and external air pump removed from its memory.
Wiring loom has been converted. A few loose wires to be connected in the engine bay (comes with instructions on where they go).
Mk3 Golf 16v downpipe ready to be fitted.
VR6 fuel pump ready to be fitted.
Billet aluminium oil filter/cooler relocation plate so a remote oil filter and cooler can be fitted in the bay.
VR6 gearbox with solid flywheel and clutch kit fitted.
DBW throttle pedal fitted and wired in.
O2J shifter and cables fitted into original position.
G60 front brake conversion with brand new EBC discs and pads.
Black Diamond braided front brake hoses.
Front subframe has been poly bushed using Powerflex bushes.
AP front coilovers with non seized collars and brand new top mounts fitted.
Brand new Koni adjustable rear shocks ready to fit.
Replacement flipped rear axle ready to be built up and fitted.
Cades Jadis 15 inch alloys with brand new Toyo tyres fitted.
Mk3 Golf VR6 front seats fitted in excellent condition.
Polo saloon black dashboard fitted.
Mk3 Golf silver clocks fitted.
Electric window conversion ready to be fitted.
Requires the wiring to be finished up, tidied up and ECU fitted. Exhaust downpipe to be fitted and an exhaust system made. Remote oil filter/cooler to be bought and fitted. Driveshafts fitted. Cooling system plumbed in. That’s about it. Could realistically be running in a couple of weekends.
The van does look tatty from the outside but is solid in all the right places. It’s never failed an MOT on corrosion and was only taken off the road because the 1.6 was absolutely knackered!
I’ll be sorry to see this go but I’m just never going to get around to finishing it. As far as I’m aware it’ll be the only AQN converted Mk2 Caddy out there! I’ve spent an absolute fortune on this already so someone will get a bargain!
I’m asking for £1500 with everything listed above plus anything else I find when I’m clearing through all my stuff. I’m sure there are other bits I’ve bought that I’ve forgotten about.
I’ll consider a swap/px for something small and fuel efficient.
The van is in Epsom, Surrey, KT19.
