Hello all,
Here we have a 2001 Saab for sale.
I bought this car a couple of years ago and intended for it to be something I could use for the summer months and gradually improve by the usual Saab methods I.e noobtune map, abbott brace etc. I had deliberately looked for as solid example as I could find and the chap I bought it from was actually a saab mechanic. During my time owning the car its had a new turbo and the latest PCV update which prevents sludging, as well as a couple of other quality of life repairs such as new dashboard speakers and SID.
Life has gotten in the way and I recently bought an XJ8 for a price I couldn't refuse. Unfortunately that means the saab now isn't a priority and so it's time for it to go. It's done 94k miles and comes with a folder of receipts and service history, as well as a boot full of various spare parts.
As far as bad points go the things which spring to mind are that it needs new tyres (the ones on it are low on tread and make a rumble at motorway speed), the roof has intermittently stopped working in the past (although last few times I've tried it it's been fine- just including this for the sake of transparency) and it has an intermittent CEL (again, hasn't been on last few times I drove the car). Believe that is to do with the DI cassette of which I have a spare but havent gotten round to fitting.
I'm selling this car cheaply because I don't have the space or money to run and keep 3 cars and I need it gone, but I'll be sad to see it go. This is a good, genuine example which will be a be good investment for someone who wants a solid car to refine just in time for summer.
