Car had been waxoyled underneath from new and is therefore pristine--in fact the original plan was to build a drift car with a Pandem widebody kit on but the mechanic couldn't bring himself into butchering the wings which were (and still are) in remarkable condition. Running approx. 250 bhp and goes like stink, with the soundtrack to match.
Good Points
The way it drives and sounds--sure way to bring a smile to your face, often turns quite a few heads and generates thumbs-ups.
True sleeper--subtle, understated looks but packed with performance. Best Merc era in my opinion, over-engineered, built to a brief, but not to a budget.
Rust-free--as said the panels and underbody are the cleanest I've seen on a 190E, none of the rust issues in the usual places or beyond.
Bad Points
Original speedo and tacho do not work, however a GPS speedo unit has been installed. The other gauges (water temp, oil pressure, fuel, clock, warning lights) do work correctly.
The diff has been replaced like-for-like as the welded item did not suit normal daily driving--of course could be welded if intended to use as a drift car.
Selling as I feel like I'm doing it a disservice and couldn't realise its potential as a drift car, as well as the proverbial having too many projects on hand...
