Han Chung Classics presents this Chinese-Market 2008 Suzuki Alto Happy Prince. This is a four door version of the iconic 80s Japanese kei-car Suzuki Alto CA72. The Happy Prince was a China specific trim model that used the body kit of the period Alto Works RS. Equipped with double foglights front and rear, as well as a sporty body trim and spoiler, this has quite the vibe of a little rally car.
These 80s kei-cars were fitted with 800cc engines and were produced in China from the 90s until 2012 by Suzuki. Famed for their reliability, fuel efficiency and affordability, these little Altos quickly became one of the most popular compact cars in China in the nineties and noughties.
Nowadays, there is a big Chinese enthusiast community for these Suzukis. Parts supply is still abundant in China for these Altos, and they provide so much of the charm of an 80s car with little of the drawbacks.
