Hello all,
I am after a bit of guidance regarding shipping.
I have recently bought some seats off of eBay and am really struggling with shipping. On face value prior to purchase it seemed as though most companies were happy to take them. However now they’re packaged it’s become a bit more complicated. Thankfully the seller seems to be a fantastic guy and has been very helpful.
The seats are fibreglass, with a dimension of 95cm High, 85cm Deep, 55cm Wide and they weigh in at 13kg.
It seems as though the courier companies are working on the basis that these are in a rectangular box and are consuming a significant volume, which they are not, they’re wrapped in a “L-Shaped” package, therefore they are quoting that they will need to be put on a pallet. The shipping rates for a pallet far outweigh the value of the parts themselves.
Can anyone recommend a courier company that may be able to help with this?
I have contacted Paisley freight who quote they can ship a seat, however their confines are no better than the basic Hermes/Evri service.
I have put a request out on Shipley, but once again the quotes far outweigh the items value and furthermore, I’ve never had a good experience with Shipley, so am reluctant to deal with them.
I will put a request out on the pony express section in the Hope that someone could possibly help.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
