Hello,
For sale is my 1959 Vauxhall Victor F Type.
I've spent just over two and a half years getting it to where it is now. This car was originally purchased as a garden find back in 1991, which had been parked up for many many years, until one of the previous owners managed to save her and luckily documented the moment and had a photo album made, as seen in the pictures below the description.
There is a fair few pictures from 1991 to 1993 of the work the previous owner had done and since i've had the car, i've documented a lot of repairs that i've done myself, that i'm more than happy to provide the new owner once i've sorted them out.
Below is a list of work that has been carried out along with new parts
1. Floor pans welded
2. Brake pipes and brake hoses changed
3. Fuel pipes and hose changed plus fuel pipe was heat wrapped in the engine bay
4. Couple of steering link bushes changed
5. Gearbox gear linkage bush changed
6. Axle oil changed
7. Gearbox oil changed
8. Engine oil and filter changed
9. Fuel pump Rebuilt
10. New Clutch master cylinder
11. Brake Master cylinder rebuilt
12. New alternator belt
13. New radiator hoses top and bottom
14. New water hoses from engine to the heater matrix
15. New carburettor adaptor plate and new weber like 32/36 carburettor jetted to the engine
16. New front and rear screen rubbers
17. New carpet
18. New accelerator pedal and clutch and brake pedal rubbers
19. New push button starter solenoid
20. New positive and negative battery leads
21. New wing mirrors
22. (Engine supposedly rebuilt by 1 one the previous owners which i do not have any proof of, but the core plugs looked new)
23. Spray painted in 2 pack red paint
24. Most of the chrome parts have been re-chromed a couple months back at the cost of £1980, except for the one lower grille bar as i never had it when all the other parts was re-chromed, and the lower bar had been chrome painted by previous owner, so it looks off (see pictures)
25. Stainless steel hand made exhaust, as pattern parts don't exist. (a little on the loud side for my hearing)
26. New tyres fitted all round last week before listing this advert.
27. New door handle seals all round
28. All parts with grease nipples on the front end/cross member area have been re-greased
29. Door shut edging lip seals all round in black and the boot shut lip seal as well.
30. New pressed aluminium number plates
31. Wax oiled the entire underside
32. Repainted the subframe/ rear axle / leaf springs/ propshaft
33. New Distributor advance and retard pipe and hose
34. New battery
35. New number plate lamp seal/retainer
36. New HT Leads
37. Floors fully sound proofed
This is a usable classic car that can be used as it is, or improved on at your leisure.
This is not a perfect or mint car, it's a good usable non show room car.
The small jobs that i can spot to do is, fit the glove box insert / fit a choke cable/ clean the door cards/ repair the two small splits in the drivers seat / make a couple of kick cards and maybe a couple other small jobs. They do not prevent it being used as it is.
I have two other classic cars that need to be restored, so my focus is on them and i would like to see this Victor, go to a good home.
There is a lot of paper work as pictured and a photo album to go with the car and there is a spare front and rear windscreen that will go with the car as well as a few other bits and bobs.
I highly advise you coming to view the car, so you can have a good look around to get a clearer view, as pictures are never as good as seeing something in person.
This will be cash / bank transfer on collection.
I am not available between the 26/09/2022 to 30/09/2022 and the 19/10/2022 to 29/10/2022
Please don't make an offer unless you come view the car.
