I know alolympic had all sorts of troubles with his Olympic build and ended up selling it I think (?) but I do wonder if it ever made it back on to the road.

This bag of sh!te has had two owners since it was mine and is now apparently undergoing a full nut and bolt resto. I’d love to know if richrolls ever finished the air ride Roller, I think it was a Spirit? and did Blown_Imp ever get the Celica done?

I’ve just remembered one, there was a guy in wales I think chopping up some 30s thing to sort out the proportions to be hot rod correct. It was in a stone barn but can’t actually remember what the car was, it was something like a lanchester or Daimler. The thread tailed off iirc as they often do.
Oh, and I found out today my red lada from 10 years ago not only still exists, albeit not on the road at the moment, it’s 5 miles away from where I’ve just moved to!

And what happened with that 911 oil tank build thread teaboy won't like you mentioning the oil tank thing that should not be mentioned forum.retro-rides.org/thread/96138/1986-porsche-911-added-e46Currently distracted by an E46 M3 (for those thinking he is combining the best of a 911 with an M3 (that would be silly) What the thread shows is clearly he has the skills to complete the Oil Tank thing that should not be mentioned - just lacks the encouragement to JFDI Oh and the thread has lots of cake - lots and lots of cake Hungry now..............

Roof had all his favourite albums on.

Aside from the unfinished projects and AWOL members, I think the other great unresolved thread was the guy who bought the garage down in Wales.
Suspect like many life simply gets in way and plans drift away behind other priorities. Certainly seen that myself in the last 2-3 years, but ironically that pushed me more towards playing with old cars again and this very forum.

As far as I remember oldbus moved house twice and mainly worked on that slideout ex-ambulance camper t4. He never reported on that estate more than there was no progress on it. A lot has been going on at Oldbus Garages the last 12 Months. I sold the house and bought a new one. Unfortunately the new one needs finishing off and it doesn't have a garage (yet) so that's going to keep me out of mischief for a while. The T4,the Cortina and the contents of my old workshop are hidden away for timebeing so a proper update will not be happening for a while. Cheers, Dave

Reading through the posts I got to thinking about the kid that was working on his Chrysler Neon but I can't think of his name. I wonder if he ever got that finished, and what he's up to now?

I did see someone mention they're friends with him 'ye old FB and he's apparently pretty busy at the moment? Every time I see an update hoping to see him post, it's usually someone asking for said update ironically. Hope he does come back to it, it made slow days at work go faster reading that lot!

I wonder what happened to Revolution 9 , he was a prolific poster in the first couple of years of the forum and then just up and vanished.

There was an Irish guy with a mk1 or mk2 transit that he’d made in to a rally support vehicle replica. He did it very quickly and a lot of people got their knickers in a twist about his resto methods with filler etc. Was it the Rothmans replica one from somewhere near Bangor, Northern Ireland? If it was, that was a guy Gavin that had that, might have ran a bit of a garage or scrapyard or something. He was active on facebook groups I'm in up until a couple of years ago, but his account seems to be deleted now.
