Ooh they do look neat! Astra GTE you say. I wonder how wide they are at the base.
Thanks for the tip about the upholsterer as well. HJastings is a little trek from me but doable, and good to have a recommendation.

Just been out to the garage trying not to blow away, Seat squab is about 22" and runners look to be about 16" centres.

Its been a long time, I have been laid up with a trapped nerve in my lower back when working on the car, which has led to me being bed bound for 8 weeks and TBH getting very despondent about the car, back is feeling a bit better now, meaning can walk more than 50 feet, Enough of my maladies, I have been giving some serious thought about those ATS cups, and the minimal gain I get for a lot of aggro 10mm of more rubber on the back, AND, I'm not overly keen on how the fronts look either, so, for weeks I have trawled FB and EBay for some triumph wheels that I actually like and would suit the car, and be in period. I can assure you theres not many for sale... Up popped a set of wheels on FB, totally misrepresented and saying 100pcd, but fit Triumph which is 95.25, with the other imortal words, "I'm selling these for an Elderly Friend" all the alarm bells started ringing, but I kept going back and looking again and again, I eventually messaged the woman... and was told they were, got his number and address, gave him a call, and arranged to go and see these, its a long drive Hastings to Cheltenham on a whim. and I came back with these....... a Set of 5 TF compomotives, 6" wide and what I was told 13s, turned out to be 15s not in bad nick for the Princely sum of £100 beer vouchers........ RESULT, and the offset suits the triumph, and the right PCD, 15s suit my need as I already have the tires....

Nice find! I've been searching around for a set of wheels I don't hate for the Spitfire, and you're not wrong they're difficult to find! I need at least 14" with good space in the bowl, or 15" to clear my brakes. Wide enough for 185-205s. I love the set of Cosmic Mk2s I had, but can't find them in anything other than 13" (and too narrow really). Everything else seems a little too FWD (i.e. no dish).
Current dreaming is making a set of custom split rims by cutting up a set of Dolly Sprint alloys I have knocking around...
I could relatively easily change to 4x100, but I haven't really found any better options in that PCD either.
Also, maladies sound grim. Glad you're on the mend!

Needs a bit of Jiggling with the ride height, IE screwing the coil overs down a smidge, and perhaps 5mm off the rear of the front wheels, and, I like these. Keeping them, Find a decent set of centre caps, Compomotive in their wisdom seem to have made different size caps for most style of wheels they ever made Wanted to slap the youff in the tyre shop he WOULD NOT fit the tires..... because they were 195s and 175s on the same size wheel, had to wait for the boss to come back.. the rear looks a bit of a odd fitment, but thats just a trick of the camera and bad lighting

Love the new wheels at any price but for 100 beer tokens they look amazing! Don’t think l have ever seen the design before which is a good thing. Lots of overdone wheels out there like Minilites…..

what size are the centre caps ? They are 62/ 63mm, not hard to find the correct centres, but the dolomite has a sticky out hub nut in the middle and fouls most caps

Put my BIG BRAVE Underpants on today, and went out on the car working on the fuel lines where I bu-ggered up my back, I was under instruction not to come back in the house if I hurt it again..... So Far So good......... clipped the lines in position and now had the quandary of where to put the fuel pump or pumps, depending on what way I plumb it, I'm not a lover of fuel pumps in the boot, But I had bought a small integral pump and swirlpot that would do the job , except it would have to go inside the car and also be quite obstructive if I needed to put anything in the boot other than a pair of socks. I ran my Cortina without a swirl pot and that had around 330hp, so I have plumbed the Toledo similarly, also much like how Mr Shoey has too, except I have turned it transversely and tucked it up close behind the axle to try and protect it a bit.

I'd forgotten all about those TF rims, it's been so long since I saw any. Excellent choice on that car though.

The car is fighting me again, I have spent a couple of days plumbing the car for its final time, all well and good, filled the car back up with fuel, bridged the pump relay to run, so I could check for leaks, pump ran.... no fuel, I kept looking for fuel with the pulp running, quite odd, checked a few bits and pieces, but there was fuel at the in side of the pump? took the outlet off and switched the pump on, finger over the end of the pump and its sucking, ?? turns out the pump is running backwards, but wired correctly, so swapped the wires over, and I have pressure and no leaks, I think the pump is knacked now as it sounds like a hammer drill, but does hit 60psi, put the brave pants on again, and installed the pump relays, connected the ECU, turned the ignition on and no fuel pump came on, grrrrrrrr, I know the ECU needs to see the pump relay closed to trigger the rest of the magic to work, there are only 2 wires to connect from the ECU, and they look right.... I'm giving up for the day... On an up note I have had a chance to see the wheel s on the car whilst outside, which has affirmed in my mind, the wheels are right for the car.
