Hello all, another question to do with saw blades and metal!
I have a shell I need to dispose of and it’s got me thinking. This isn’t my first time doing this, I used to go at the cars with a slitting disk and chop them into manageable pieces to then lob into the back of a truck and weigh it all in.
Although I presume this isn’t a commonly done thing, I’m sure there are a few of you on here who have done it.
I’ve got a fairly burly Recip saw and I remember watching scrap heap challenge as a kid they were always cutting roofs off of transit vans and turning them into boats, if my memory serves me right they were usually using Recip saws.
Is this a feasible option for disposing of a immobile shell? Has anyone done this before? If so could you recommend me some blades? My theory is that a Recip saw bode will have a larger cutting area than that of a cutting disc and therefore may cut through the chassis sections a little bit easier than a slitter would.
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance.
