For sale is my 1996 Ford Fiesta Mk3.5 1.3 Classic Cabaret with a genuine 18,036 miles from new. The car was registered on the 30th September 1996 by Bristol Street Motors Ford of Birmingham. The original owner purchased the Fiesta for his wife, who only covered 14,000 miles in total when it was sold to the second owner in 2017. The history file contains the original Ford document wallet with all handbooks, guides security code cards and an original Fiesta Classic range sales brochure. The car comes with three Ford keys including the red master key. This very late example on a P registration even post dates the earliest MK4 Fiesta's, which were released on an N prefix. The car comes with an advisory free MOT until August 2023.
Having been garaged all of it's life the exterior of the car is in overall fantastic condition as is the underneath with none of the rust and corrosion which is common for Fords of this era. Finished in Ford Moon dust silver, the paintwork to all factory panels is superb and displays virtually no markings. There are a few minor marks including a small scuff on the front bumper that i must admit i did reversing out of the garage, but these are utterly insignificant. The Fiesta still retains the supplying Ford dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder.
The interior is basically like brand new. The special Cabaret sports seats finished in Papillion Opal velour in perfect condition, with no rips, tears or bolster wear. All trim sections, controls and switchgear have the new car feel. Everything functions flawlessly, including the Ford 2015 Radio Cassette player. Even the new car smell has been retained. Sitting inside takes you back to the showroom in 1996.
The clean engine bay has the original plates, stickers and factory panel stampings clearly visible. Genuine Ford service items are in abundance, including the grey Ford HT leads . Oil and filters have recently been changed The car really does drive like brand new, the gearbox feels very directly, in stark contract to the sloppy gearboxes of high mileage examples.
The factory steel wheels are in excellent order. The original Cabaret wheel trims are fitted and are almost immaculate with only tiny markings. New Premium Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres are fitted to all the wheels including the spare having only covered 3,000 miles,i also have fitted a new battery it is still under warranty, i have had the car professionally wax oiled The brakes are discs up front and drums at the rear, these have been bled and are in excellent condition
In summary, this Fiesta Classic Cabaret is an amazing survivor which can only go up in value. Grab yourself a piece of 1990's Ford history. First to see will buy.
