I bought this LS from a previous member of these forums which you will see if you scroll down a bit!
I bought this as I was running a 3.0tdi A6 lemans and whilst a very capable and good all rounder it was a little boring and with the huge gulf in price between petrol and diesel I could afford to drop some* MPG's.
Since I have bought the car I have already had a new exhaust system fabbed up between the down pipes and the 3rd cat as the original piece was rotten and had been repaired far too many times. This was kicking up an EML which has now gone.
I have also picked up some fresh oil as it was leaking quite badly from the valve covers and also of course ordered new valve cover gaskets with the spark plug gaskets also. Whilst I am in there I suspect with it being on 211k miles the PCV valve may be a little clogged and the grommet that holds it I suspect will be like plastic and I will change that whilst I am in there. The funny part of that is I tried to order the PCV valve from Lexus but they would only sell me the full valve cover (£500 +VAT please sir) so I had to order from rock auto in America. Seem to be a very good supplier for Lexus and relatively pain free to order. All in for OEM valve and grommet with postage it was £13.
Other than a rattle coming from the rear (still investigating exactly where it is) I am pretty happy with it. It may have a minor leak from the rad but I've topped it up and will keep an eye on it.
