Bought an RAC Battery booster, but problem..

So after other halfs car failed to start due to lack of use, and to save me lumping car batteries from shed to car each time, I have today bought an RAC Jumpstarter Pack RAC-HP557, I don't have any decent jump leads and hate using them anyway as its even more faff getting the cars into the right position.


Opening it and pressing the button to at least activate the torch, nothing.

Its been on charge for about 3 hours now and torch wont work, and it wont even power a phone.

The status LEDS show full, while on charge.


Does it need all night to charge up? does it need a while "off charge" to then decide it will start to work?


Or is it dead on arrival?

I will be able to return it, its from carparts4less a sub brand of ECP.

What do the instructions say? I've tried to find a set, but they seem to be near impossible to find.

The jump packs I've tried in the past all work a little differently, and have different lights to confirm different things.

Anything with a lithium battery cannot be shipped fully charged by law so I'd give it a full charge first.

I charged it overnight and still the same, its been dropped back off at the shop now, and have ordered a higher capacity one from Ring via Tayna.

I bought one similar from Halfords. Used it to jump my van, then I could not get it to charge up no matter how long I left it plugged in. Got a refund in the end.
