Last minute Christmas shopping? I've decided I need to sell my Ford Pilot. Spotted something else with my name on it... Like y'do.
Flaking hideous two-tone green. Cream under that and probably a few more beneath that. Body has had some barnyard repairs and no doubt some of Isopon's finest clag in there somewhere. The chassis has had some plating performed in the dark too. I have a good condition chassis to go with the car if required.
Interior is fairly complete. A few little tears to the headlining and some cracked leather. Speaker grille has warped off into the distance as most do. It has a recent carpet set for some reason! Steering wheel a bit cracked as normal. Roof insert has been replaced recently I'm guessing as the vinyl is good and the rubber seal isn't cracked but there is a slight leak - directly over the driver's lap.
Couple of the side windows are fogged/cracked, but there's replacements included. Driver's door window is fine but disconnected from the winder at the moment.
I've put a few miles on it chasing down a slight off idle misfire. New coil, plugs, leads, 6V battery fitted. Now has a 7V Dizzy fitted checked and jigged and it's running fine on the original Solex. A new 97 wouldn't be a bad plan as parts for the Solex aren't available.
Mechanically it's all good. 21 stud doesn't overheat and idles lovely. Brakes are in good order, gearbox is very smooth, and there's no rear end noises. Steering box is tight, but I found the 100 turns lock to lock unnerving at first. Shocks seem to work and aren't leaking. Bonus!
Lights are all there, but only the brake lights are functioning at the moment.
