Hey folks,
Sorry, I'm a bit of a lurker here. More active on the beige forum over the years with an eye on RR. Hate my first contribution for a while to be in the For Sale section, but the good people here seem like a good audience for this particular automobile of distinction.
I know it's the typical lack of daylight, pish weather and seemingly endless conflicting pressures on my free time, but I've lost a bit of enthusiasm for my fleet and just looking to bring numbers down to a more manageable level. Already had a couple out on the way to my "perfect" three car fleet.
Next for the chop is this, it's a 1999 Lexus LS400 with the "Dynamic Handling Pack".
Have two sets of keys plus valet keys. V5 in my name. Comes with original book pack, receipts and a list of all maintenance during my ownership as well as the previous owner. Has been very well looked after and is entirely standard.
Timing and aux belts done in 2020 and 10k miles ago.
Perfect starter, users zero fluids. Mechanically spot on.
It's a 24 year old car and does have some marks commensurate with the age. The top of the windscreen is scabby and there is some blistering on either rear arch. The paint on the NSR wing is knackered and the retractable aerial goes up fine but only retracts about 75% of the way. Other than that, it's very presentable indeed.
The interior is in really good condition. It's very plush and the heated seats work front and rear as well as the factory fitted sat nav system. The stereo sounds incredible. The only thing in here that doesn't work is the electric column adjust, but I actually have a pair of motors to fix this and will include with the car.
This car has the rare factory fitted Dynamic Handling Pack which comprised of the 17 inch alloy wheels, slightly lowered ride height and thicker anti roll bars, ride is still really good though. It's the revised 4.0 V8 with variable valve timing and the improved 5 speed automatic gearbox so is really the spec to have (IMO).
MOT is only until February, which is reflected in the asking price. All that was needed last year was an adjustment of the handbrake and it's only done a couple of thousand miles in the Spring/Summer since, so don't see it needing a lot, if anything. I'm just pretty busy between now and then and can't be doing with the hassle, offering up cheap in case anyone fancies taking it with some test remaining.
I have a comprehensive list of all the maintenance carried out since 2009, can supply this separately as it's a big wall of text.
Located in Dreghorn, North Ayrshire. I think the price is very fair given the history and mechanical condition but short test.
