Saw this great rebody….. Must be an amazing engineer, or a policeless state or something like that. Over here…. Not sure it would make it off the driveway Wish I could have bought this. Yeah, but instead You bought that. Now go and figure out how You put the most part of that walking aid onto a mx5 chassis!

Good god, any more power in that and it'll topple backwards like a wheely bin in a hurricane.
Bonkers, look forward to the plan...

Fabulous. Engine spec sounds suspiciously like a GX160. Plenty of tuning parts available: www.gxtuningstoreuk.com/gx160Could see the dizzy heights of 8bhp

I'm in for this, even if it never goes much further than the lane opposite, the DVLA has it listed as 337cc does that make it the sport model? MOT history is pretty clean though it was only doing a couple of hundred miles each year. wheels look like trailer wheels to me. Correct. Trailer wheels. Needs a bit more though. I would love to see more info on it. Whatsapp me if you can. Loncin G340FD (337cc, 10hp) G Series Engines

My initial thoughts were one of those rather dubious 2 stroke Ligier thingies... however this is a different tier of bonkers, how frequent will the words "stupid cant" be muttered? It's about the same. In that it's utterly ghastly. If the dralon interior idea doesn't work for you, how about an A-team van replica? All that would take would be some vanes added to the wheels, a roof spoiler and 1/4litre each of black, metallic dark grey and red paint. Shave a Mohawk, and you could call yourself Mr G

What an amazing little car, really looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Hayabusa engine screaming down the motorway? I think that for now, I need to work with a perfectly fine engine that has not even done 3800 miles. Car is absolutely trashed (trash if you want) But as before, I am happy to have you all along, and if you want to crowd fund a 337cc motor, or the 400cc racing equivalent, and deliver it, we can have some fun trying to i stall it. There is such limited space, that the only sensible move, is to replace life for like in the shape and size department. Crowd funding would be taking £10 or 20 out of your beer fund and painlessly growing the fun, exponentially. Why is it that whenever I see something of this scale, I always wonder what type of motorcycle engine/box will be fitted in it? Even a 100hp Air cooled Ducati engine would make it dangerously fast.. I think one needs to be realistic, these things are restricted to various speeds in various countries for a reason…… mostly, so it operates within its engineered abilities. The lay put of a bike engine, gear shifting, and a ton of other things, are so different, they really are non starters in this case. What an amazing little car, really looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Hayabusa engine screaming down the motorway? I am SO pleased that I am not the only one. :-) As mentioned…… no. Not to be a doom-monger, but I noticed there's no pics of you in it? You're a tall guy, aren't you? I guess there's more legroom without pedals! Good question. The Dutch are tall as a nation, so part of the design brief was 6’7” in there, in comfort. Mate Fil was here, and drove it, he is 6’3” So my rotund 6’ will be just fine. Thom, I think you have summed it all up nicely. I was looking for a &ank, and still am. Right car, right price, right spec and you can wrap and deliver it. You need to understand Amsterdam, its traffic and users to understand why despite the, price, they were so successful. Also 16 year olds can drive them, without a full car license. Fairly sure nickwheeler was singing this under his breath... And……? What an amazing little car, really looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Hayabusa engine screaming down the motorway? Amazing it isn't. Appalling, abominable and a death trap would be a good start if looking for alliterative alternatives Some basic fettling will make it start and run a little better, and it already drives. So that's enough. The driving position is like sitting on the toilet, much like a traditional English hot-rod, so a brown button dralon interior, garish(albeit small) murals, chrome paint on the suspension and some drawn on fake slot mags could be one concept. That's if driving it up and down the drive a couple of times doesn't make him hate living.... As always, spot on. When are we rebuilding it? Why is it that whenever I see something of this scale, I always wonder what type of motorcycle engine/box will be fitted in it? Even a 100hp Air cooled Ducati engine would make it dangerously fast.. Think of the cheapest snowmobile you've ever seen, crashed into a garden storage box. Pretty close description. Problem is Nick, you saw and smelled it up close. Nobody here has a clue just how traumatised that left you out on the driveway that night. Even your therapist would be traumatised once he/she/it/whatever sex had relived the delivery and initial inspection with you. So You had some spare space next to the Rezin Rockit You just HAD TO fill? To quote Ritchie, a character from The King of Queens, when he saw the classic mini, the Hefernans got as a gift from old Arthur Spooner: Lost on me, not much of a television watcher. Awesome! I am grinning. It looks like a Fiat Cinquecento somebody rescued from the crusher mid-way to its demise! 1/2 a Fiat really. At 44 inches wide by 91 inches long and 62 inches tall, the Canta makes a Smart Car look like an SUV. These dimensions qualify it as a “mobility aid,” because unlike other micro cars, the Canta can be driven in bike lanes and parked directly on sidewalks and does not require a driver's license to operateWell done Grizz, delighted to be along once again You are most welcome John, this will not be the Rezin Rockit or try to be it. But it could be a bit of a distraction when you had a bad day at home or at work. That’s my plan. A broken storage box, that leaks? No rear glass is a bad start. Anyone got a rear glass….. Or know if the glass, like other parts on it, are from other production vehicles? Let me know. Now the random nova tail light makes sense! Congratulations on the new car vehicle lol Looking forward to what you do with this. The 1, in my head I was thinking cylinder but I didnt realise there was a car with only 1 haha. I knew that I could not define the 1 for a bit, it would have been too easy. On all my Google searches, I have not seen many of them modified, except a few coloured ones, And a screen grab from a video I watched, of not a Canta……. But similarly shaped car…… had it looking like Spidermans car.

Amsterdam eh? Suggest you put a new bag in the vac when doing the carpets and seats and see what collects in there.... :-) Mate, wait till you see the vacuum cleaner video. Seats will come out and be wet vacced when it gets warmer. The Canta is classified as a mobility aid. It's probably more effective as a contraceptive Cruel Nick, cruel. I bet you some teens get laid and blown in them. Beats having a bicycle or having to beat off…… The Canta is classified as a mobility aid. It's probably more effective as a contraceptive De Canta danst! is possibly the only ballet ever to feature choreography between a dancer and an automobile. There You have it, some people even call it an automobile! And if your body is F#€K€@ beyond repair, this gets you about a lot better than a dick extension Ferrari you need to slide in and out of. As far as the ballet is concerned, I guess we need to give people room for expression. Whilst trying to find the pcd (failed) I saw a picture of them being built in the factory & noticed 2 things: 1 - they appear to use Peugeot 205 headlights 2 - You could get it really low to the floor should you so want... haha I think headlights, as identified by nickwheeler may be Rover How low do you want it….. on air. Not sure about the front end though. My therapist has just upgraded his new car order based soley on the increased number of hours I am going to be seeing him ... Ohhhhh Shirt !1 Sorry Tony, I forgot you were in here too 😁 Make sure the therapist gets a New Canta. Prices are keen. I'm in for this, even if it never goes much further than the lane opposite, the DVLA has it listed as 337cc does that make it the sport model? MOT history is pretty clean though it was only doing a couple of hundred miles each year. wheels look like trailer wheels to me. Yes, I checked the MOT history. It is good. Low miles too. But I can tell you, that it has been ragged to an inch of its life. It needs a ton of restorative attention. The bigger engine is an exciting find. I know they have done a 200cc version as a home modification…… Language could be a barrier, but watch the pictures. Looks ripe for a budget electric conversion. I might have a spare wiper motor that you could use, 8 x AA batteries will give you 12v and a good range. I like the idea…… But we need another donor for that build. Now I am looking forward to seeing what you do with this one Rian, The only thing I am sure is that it'll be: 1) different / unique, 2) entertaining, Nigel Thanks Nigel. I am hoping it is a bit of fun and also challenging. And entertainment is the main objective for sharing it here.

Good god, any more power in that and it'll topple backwards like a wheely bin in a hurricane. Bonkers, look forward to the plan... Absolutely agree on more power. Thanks. I love it for all the wrong reasons. Plan? What plan? My initial thoughts were one of those rather dubious 2 stroke Ligier thingies...hoqever this is a different tier of bonkers, how frequent will the words "stupid cant" be muttered? There is an old Sicilian proverb, I will share later. In the mean time…… a name like curse word-A-LiX kinda covers it all. That's superbly terrible. Like the video, well done! Thank you. My video making, editing and continuity will get better, I hope. Superbly terrible sounds about right. No great expectations. Fabulous. Engine spec sounds suspiciously like a GX160. Plenty of tuning parts available: www.gxtuningstoreuk.com/gx160Could see the dizzy heights of 8bhp Indeed it does sound like that. The way it is mounted, modified with an alternator and starter motor, I am not really able to see its roots. I love the space frame buggies, they go like hell. Ultimately, though, I doubt this thing can actually handle all that power. So just for a laugh, if you understand the language, he is singing at everything to move aside, as his tuned Canta wants to get by or past. Keep your toungues firmly in your cheeks gentlemen.

I genuinely think that the best bit about your purchase is going from querying about a Chevy Caprice wagon to buying what is effectively a shoe with an engine. What a stupendously awful idea. In for the ride! Love it!

Waaijenberg (the manufacturer) was also the importer for Reliant in NL for many years (both the nice and the 2 wheelers) the even rallied a four wheeler. So there might be a link to Britisch parts.

I have refrained from commenting so far as my head is just spinning with the fun you could have in this turd on wheels Ideas on a power hike has already been poked in the thread so I'm thinking possibly it being a "show" toy dragged about on a little trailer! After watching a few recent episodes of Mighty Car Mods with their single seater Daihatsu, my mind wanders to a uber mini truck conversion, banded wheels and a little drop closer to the tarmac. A bench seat would be nice too too. The resale opportunity in the future will be pretty bleak so why not go nuts with it! MCM's midget:

Eventually I calm down, Nick and I push the little guy back into the carport, next to the Rezin Rockit. It really is small. In closing, all I can say is that I told a few people, and those who came to see it, like Fil Sparkplug and craigrk both fell for its quirkiness and wanted it based on photos, and after meeting it in person, still wanted it. More information as it unfolds. Welcome to the latest madness at Grizz Towers. It will be recorded and reported on my YouTube channel and probably on the blog, once I figure it all out. well what can I say that everyone else hasn't already said ? nothing much really other than well done enjoy the build then the blast down the farm track
