What's the deal with passengers. Obviously they will need a helmet too but is there any further signing on or payments required? Yes sign on is required When the info packs are sent out there will be a link to the Goodwood on line disclaimer - passengers just need to complete that and then sign on on the day will be quick and easy We don't make a charge for passengers. I often get asked why we don't charge for passengers and it's simple - passengers this year are frequently drivers next year - if they have a great time as a passenger they will want to do it as a driver next time.

We’ve had to occasionally baby sit the odd child at the Goodwood event (so that the parent could get on track after being let down with arrangements) and without exception every single one said they couldn’t wait till they were 14 and could be in the car

If you get accepted.,.get there to your session and then fail noise checks.,..do you lose your track payment? Hard nose mode on Unfortunately yes that is exactly what happens The noise limits are clearly stated Hard nose mode off However I offered you an early afternoon slot as 1. it doesn't use the full circuit (so less exposure to the meters and only two cars on track at any time) 2. You can get noise tested early in the day (as you are in the paddocks already anyway) 3. Some efforts could be made to lower the noise - this is RR miracles can and have happened or 4. I could possibly arrange to re-sell an afternoon session and then refund In a nutshell I've done my best to be flexible

Just applied for track time and the Autosolo (Maybe a bit greedy but worth the try!) Might not be on these wheels though, first time posting on the forum too

Whilst I sadly won't be able to attend this, I would like to know what the deal is regarding helmets? Will any do? Is there a minimum standard?

Might not be on these wheels though, first time posting on the forum too You'll get an autosolo space no problem - I'll send out the offer and payment instructions tonight For track time on the Saturday I'm sorry to say you'll be on the reserves list - now this is not all bad (or without hope) we always get a few drop outs closer to the event so you might get lucky at short notice For AllIf you have a applied with a gmail address we've had a few problems with emails getting thro to people Put "track@retro-rides.org" in your safe list apparently helps but not guaranteed I do try to re-send reminders from my personal email a week later if no response but often that ends up in peoples spam (I'm not going to put that email address on a public forum for obvious reasons)

Can I use a cheap £50 motorcycle helmet (new, they go off) or do I need a Snell or FIA rated helmet for a road car unlikely to cross the line at 100mph

Hi all, I'm brand new to this forum and event. Currently trying to book myself and my son for the Saturday morning track action.
My boy is bringing his mk2 capri and I'm looking to bring my 65 mustang fastback. We're both hoping for late morning track runs in our cars but are we too late?
Thanks.

Probably you are - Morning filled up so fast it surprised me!!! Afternoon was a little slower but is also full now However I am still taking reserves for the inevitable drop outs we get right before the event (what I would say is a few years ago I would pretty much use every single reserve in the run up to the event - last year I had a lot of reserves waiting right up to the day

Hopefully we can sit in reserve. My son is 18 and a chip off the old block. Should 1 place become available to us I'd stand aside and let him take it. We're coming from the Isle of Wight and have booked our event tickets and ferry for both cars so will be there regardless.
