Unfortunately the blaster is taking his time...π Since my mate took a last minute trip to Gatebil I had some time to work on my Giulietta. Dismantled some rotten doors today to get parts for my doors. Also took out the dashboard and a whole lot of wiring from the car. Friday evening and Saturday i'll be putting some more hours in it. Taking out all the stuff i don't need and cleaning the inside. Some pics..

Cleaned some parts and trialfitted the front hub with disk and wheel. 7Jx17 wheel with a 215-40-17 tyre looks like it will fit. Might need to go to a 205-40-17. Rear wheel is 8Jx17 with 235-40-17. Unfortunately I can't testfit those as the hubs are still 4 stud and the wheel is 5.

The more photos I see of your car, the more I realise what a cohesive design the Giulietta is compared to my 75. Good looking things! The wheels suit it too.

What i dislike the most with the 75 is the rear quarter seen from the side. It kinks all bodylines upwards a bit after the rear door and that just looks strange in my eyes. Giulietta looks way better from the side. But to be fair, the 75 has a better rear end..π

Agreed on all fronts. It's telling that when you google 'Alfa 75' 99% of the photos that come up are from the front 3/4 view where the weird rear kink is hidden by perspective.
And yes, the rear end is not the Giulietta's best angle!

Put a battery in and most stuff seems to work. Engine turns over on the starter, will see if it fires on brake cleaner.
It definitely needs tires and brakes, those are old and stuck.
Rear wheel arches need a bit of welding but that seems about it, which is really impressive as these tend to rot very hard.

Man I wish my mates would pull old Alfas out of barns Crazy how many more alfas there are knocking about the continent than in the UK. It's not as if they didn't sell them here, the UK was one of Alfa's biggest markets, they just all seem to have disintegrated in the Atlantic weather. Either that or been scrapped even when they're saveable as they've always heavily depreciated.

Anti- clockwise rev counter- so the important bit is visible!
Love it.
