Just minding my own business on the south circular today…. Then ooofffff Strange one, it has no MOT (exempt) and was registered in 1990 but listed as a 3.0 with a 70's plate. It is an import, probably. It is registered by the year of manufacture, 1977, and 1990 was the date it was registered in the UK with the DVLA.

Outside a Lake District Hotel / B&B we stayed at on a round Britain tour in 2018.
Both owned by the lovely Hotelier, in her sixties, who the previous year had driven the 2CV across South America. Respect.

Rover P3 (I think), retrimmed by the bod I used when trading.
LHD Series 2 E-type, ditto. Lovely condition, but US twin carb smog spec missing C100bhp. Very sad.
Frazer-Nash BMW.

A few more from the recently rediscovered electronic memory bank.
One that I worked on a few years ago:
A lot of noise, 7.2 litres afair, but very little real power. It might have managed 100 mph, if it was thrown from a high flying aircraft. A horrible thing to drive, no brakes, and no grip. Dramatic to hear and see it attempting to make progress though.
Another customer's car; Bentley R type. Not my cuppa, but quicker, safer and much quieter than the Dodge, from 4.3 litres.
Spied in a B&Q car park, plenty of patina / rust covered with filler:
I can't remember whether it's a Hillman or an Austin; the latter I suspect, although all cars looked much the same in those days.

Not a Frazer Nash. That is a Bristol 400 from late 1940's

Not a Frazer Nash. That is a Bristol 400 from late 1940's I stand corrected, and should know better; the car belongs to an acquaintance.
I frequently confuse early Bristols with the FN / BMWs from which the major features including general styling, chassis, and engine were copied.

Something not right with the Charger R/T, the base engine was the 375hp 440 Magnum. Quarter mile was 14.4 at 100mph with a top end of 125ish. It was either knackered or someone has put a stock 2bbl 318 in it. The only other correct engine for the R/T was the 426 hemi.
