The reverse sleeper. Take on Mk2 Granny, throw away 3 litre V6 and install 1.1 litre kent engine. Fill extra engine bay space with shelving and lovely knick knacks. Fit pee shooter exhaust and skinnies ttyres you can find.

The merc would have to be powered by 700cc Smart power (to keep it in the family)

Crikey. What smaller engines would you fit to a Micra or 104ZS. Lawnmower? Washing Machine?

Yeah it'd have to be a Smart engine. Or just take the engine out of my tragically embarrasing Hyundai as it seems to only want to run on three cylinders!! In fact, lets go all eco-friendly - I'll take the engine out and leave the 1.2 hp starter motor in it!

I can fix "friends" phones at work if my supervisors in a good mood.
I think my Imps are under powered enough without swopping the engine.

I once bought an Austin Ambassador that had had the 2.0 swapped for a 1.7.... had to get a letter from a garage for the insurance company to say it was safe, as it had had an engine swap.......
|
|
... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

the Escort mk3-4 guys say that if you have a 1.4 in ya scort you should swap it for a 1.3, mainly because the 1.3 has higher revs and can be modified more and to a higher power than the 1.4

I've got it!
7.5 hp Briggs Stratton lawnmower engine, although it'd be an upgrade for a 2CV ;D
As for the 1.3 and 1.4 CVH engines, I've had both apart and the only difference is the shape of the combustion chambers and piston tops

1.3 and 1.4 cvh are very similar. yes pistons and combustion chamber are different. 1.4 block is taller as well.
