Hello Everyone,
I know this is a little off topic, but who do you think will win?
There was not enough slots to put more drivers, so sorry if your favourite is not there.
I think Marcus Gronholm will win.

i don't really follow modern day rallying, cos in my opinion its cack, just like formula 1,rallycross and touring cars. they all sort of went down hill for me around the early ninties. i voted though, for petter solberg cos hes always served me well on wrc 2 on the station ;D ;D ;D

They are bringing in new rules in 2006 to stop so much electronics. This is partly why PSA are pulling out in 2006.

all the new fangled bits seem to make it easier for the driver.i say give him more of a challenge. they should strip the cars to the bare bones i think.give them a gear stick (thats not next to the steering wheel or a button), and a handbrake thats not a 3 foot cranked bar(thats next to the steering wheel). basically, make the inside of theirs the same as the inside of yours. that would make things interesting

I can see where you're coming from though, I mean there's no doubt that the modern WRC drivers are very talented, and there's no doubt it's far from an easy job, but the retro rally cars some of us are into gave the drivers a harder workout, with a normal gearstick and handbrake that aren't sitting at their fingertips and nothing in the way of electronic trickery to help them stay on the road, and to me it makes it a less interesting sport when the driver's skill isn't as important as how much was spent on the computer systems in the car.

For me its not just the cars technology in the cars that spoils modern rallying. The rallies have changed to accomodate television coverage which takes some of the challenge away.
I was watching a rally DVD the other day and the looks on the faces of the drivers after a 4 day rally, you could see they had worked hard.
I can remember when the RAC rally was a country wide event an a real challange for the crews. (i think I'm getting old)

(i think I'm getting old) now it should be called the "network q rally of wales!but not in november anymore please.driving the cars in the mud through the forrests is a bit hard"
