I heard from someone that had a landcrab of some sort. When they phased out leaded fuel, he ran it on unleaded but after 3-4000 miles the engine was no good at all due to VSR.
Incidentally, filling up with LRP won't restore lead memory - it's basically unleaded with some additives in. Besides that, LRP doesn't have to conform to the same British Standards as unleaded (I don't know why!), so I wouldn't bother with the stuff - it's overpriced and you can just add a quality additive to UL and have better results .
There should be at least one garage in your area that is licenced to sell regular leaded 4 star. It might be over a quid a litre but if you treat it to a tank every 1000 miles or so, it should work out cheaper than a new engine! ;D
