I know it's a weak link, but I've been looking for an excuse to post this, and your title seemed like a good enough reason: That, incedentally is not a D series.

I love the d-series. I've grown up around hgv's so I do have a soft spot for them!
We once bought an ex shunter from sittingbourne, 6x2 E-series ERF. 380 brake model, without a restrictor, and the tacho was up the curse word so no speedo. Anyway, on the way back on the M20 we couldn't keep up in a 405 diesel we were in. We were doing 90mph+!
Unaware to my old man behind the wheel, lol, anyways I jumped in the tractor unit at the petrol station, then we made our way back to staplehurst and we must of hit a slippery patch and the back end broke away, luckily he caught it otherwise god knows what would of happened!
Had to share that one! Unfortunately it went to make way for another E-series. But for a truck it really did hack, sounded pukka too, turbo whistle and stack exhausts! along with an exhaust brake.

Good Work Rmad... Nice Van indeeeeeeeed! Another Van I grew up around was the Bedford CF, my dad had 2 at various points as work vans.... eventually though he ended up with a Nissan Urvan. The second one he had (that I remember) was exactly like this one: He also had an earlier one (but it was a panel van) and the Bedford TK was one of the wagons the yard used.

Aaaaah trucks When i was 10ish, my mate's grandfather used to drive for a local haulage firm and would take us out in school holidays, usually locally but occasionally london/south east... Started out with a DAF 2500, then a 3300 which developed a crazy turbo death-whine, sounded ace used to love being 'road captain', bought central london to a halt once with a wide load portacabin, bent more than one traffic light then i did work experience as a lorry fitter, bearing in mind i was a proper geek at school and top of the maths set this was quite a puzzle to my form tutor! learned how not to take a cylinder head off an ERF (the guy showing me snapped a head stud, and spent the rest of the week scratching his own head), and how to drive their knackered Volvo F10 shunter.
