A lot of people have been having problems posting pics from Picasaweb or Facebook where the URL is a lot longer than Proboards seems to like.
If you have the means to shorten the file name at all, this might well work. I recently copied some pics from Facebook to my photobucket. None of them worked on this forum and when I looked at the URL, it was MASSIVE! A quick rename of each photo in Photobucket and all was good when I posted up the new links.
Hope that makes sense??

I have been trying for two years to post pictures on this site. It's clear that if you know how to do it,at each stage then it's easy. I have tried to follow yur instructions and it does not work. You say things like,'click on bottom section for forum links'. Which bottom section of which page ?
Why is it so complicated ? I have a new forum TFMoggy. All I want to do is show all my build pictures of an extremely interesting build. I have opened the forum but no link exists for me to upload pictures or post anything. What am I doing wrong?
I have a photobucket library ,How do I upload say 15 images onto my forum TFMoggy. Thanks Jonny (Jonfiddler)

Upload your pics (if you have not allready done so), then click 'view your album'. Under each of your pictures you will see several web address links - highlight and copy the link labled 'Direct Link'. Now go back to this site and onto your thread and onto the page your typing. Click on the photo icon (it's on the tool bar with the Bold, Underline icons etc. Paste the 'Direct Link' address into the box which will have appeared on screen as prompted. Then click 'submit' or 'preview post'. You can only upload upto 4 pics on each post, but I don't think there is a limit on how many you can have on an entire thread. Hope this helps sir! Thanks, How do I find my thread? Iti is called 'TFMoggy' ? I've tried a dozen times and find nothing. What link do you start with ? Is it 'home' or 'new topics' or 'help' or search' or what?
You must find it easy but it simply does not work. I have a photobucket thing with a library of pictures. So how do I find my thread 'TFMoggy' and upload pictures? Do I have to log in twice? First as jonfiddler then as 'admin' to the thread? Do I have to open up three pages ,photobucket, then login a jonfiddller then a 'admin t o my thread? I simply cannot do it . ATB Jonny

if you have them loaded in photobucket all you have to do is copy the "forum link code" from the box under each photo and then past that into a post. It should start with IMG in square brakets.
Or you can post a link to the photobucket library itself by copying the address out of the address bar and posting it in a message. Its not as neat.

How do you do it ? IT DOES NOT WORK !!!!! It does work, sorry. Its easy, any numbskull can figure it out, I have never known anybody fail to post pics after reading these simple instructions. Maybe try again in a few years when you are a bit cleverer?

Start a thread or reply to an exisiting one. Copy/paste the bit from photobucket that looks like this into the box where you type. and you get (IKB made me do it)

I can't find your forum thread either, I can only assume that your computer skills have failed you on that one, OK i'm probably being a bit presumptious there but bear with me. You'll have to start a new thread. ( NOT YOUR OWN 'FORUM', THIS WHOLE SITE IS A FORUM. YOUR BIT IS A 'THREAD'. IMAGINE THE FORUM IS A HOUSE, YOUR THREAD IS A ROOM IN THE HOUSE. YOU ARE ADDING A NEW ROOM, NOT CREATING YOUR OWN HOUSE INSIDE AN EXISTING HOUSE) Do this by going in the readers' rides section and clicking the 'new thread' button. A new page will appear. write your story in the big white square box. Also, for each photo that you want to include, put the bit from your photobucket account relevant to each photo that starts and finishes with [/IMG] in the big white box as well. If you need to breathe or drink a glass of water while doing this, then do so, thats very important. If you manage to make it through that lot, click 'Submit' at the bottom. Don't click 'Preview' thats for advanced users. The big white box with all your story in will disappear, and what you will then see is whateveryone else sees when they are checking out your 'TFMoggy' THREAD. GOOD LUCK
