Thankyou sweeties .x I still use photobucket and it's fine, it's just had some of the old clever functionality removed. The guid at the stard of this thread still is a guide, just doesn't show the up to date photobucket screen shots, try it and then if you have issues ask for help and I'm sure you'll soon get sorted

Please post up an example - lets see if we can help out The URL needs to be surrounded by img tags So Pasting the url only looks like this http://s108.photobucket.com/user/Bstardchild/media/WP_20141129_001.jpg and results in this s108.photobucket.com/user/Bstardchild/media/WP_20141129_001.jpgAdding image tags [img]http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/WP_20141129_001.jpg[/img] results in this Points for identifying the source of the coffee jar contents!

Hi there!!Does anyone know how to upload pics from my phone?i have already uploaded them at a relevant site but has no "copy-paste" option :-( Sorry missed this post and it's a while back to so may not be required anymore Mobile uploads to photobucket normally are confirmed by email which also gives you the link to the location - add image tags and you are done

I don't know if it'd be worth the hastle (if it is a hastle?!) but why not have a 'hot-link' to this thread somewhere on the page when you're posting a message...?!
That way if someone is unsure as to how to post a picture on a post/thread they won't have to search the forum to find this particular advice thread, they can just clock on the hot-link...
Just a thought!

Oh and I probably need to update the first post, the thread possibly could do with a clean up (some humor might not be understood)

I've been gradually 'improving' little things on this forum, the quick reply box is one of those things I think needs a bit more work, a "how to post images" link under the box is a great idea, I'll get on it

You and jimspolicev8sd1 prompted me to do a thread in the general board to see if there are some other photo-hosting services out there worth looking at so thanks for that too Might help me to improve the first page of this thread

Can you simplify it please ?? Why why why is it so difficult? When I send an email attachment just on eclick and it's done.
It seems to me that people who know how to do it keep it a secret like some sort of dark pagan cult thing. Being iniciated beforehand to soften the mind is some sort of pre-requisited noodle making 'rite' .
How do you upload images to a quick reply to a post plaese ? my computer refuses to go into either the tumble dryer or the washing machine in either or both order.(And I'm sick pot noodles waiting. J onny

Can you simplify it please ?? Why why why is it so difficult? When I send an email attachment just on eclick and it's done. This is the internet - you aren't sharing a picture with one person in an email you are sharing it with everyone who has access - to do that you need to have the pictures hosted somewhere. This forum doesn't have the facility to upload directly - when you consider the number of users and daily visitors it would be very expensive to allow that. Forums that do allow direct upload have issues with people uploading huge pictures and it frequently ends up with them turning the facility off Sign up for a free account with Photobucket - it's free Once logged int the account - upload your pictures from your PC/Laptop/tablet or whatever Once loaded you can take the image links and paste them into threads It's not difficult - you just want it to be like email and it's not It seems to me that people who know how to do it keep it a secret like some sort of dark pagan cult thing. Being iniciated beforehand to soften the mind is some sort of pre-requisited noodle making 'rite' . I'm going to try not to take offence at that suggestion - I think from memory there has only been one person that failed to host pictures using the guide and possibly he should have returned his PC to the shop where he bought it from. How do you upload images to a quick reply to a post plaese ? my computer refuses to go into either the tumble dryer or the washing machine in either or both order.(And I'm sick pot noodles waiting. J onny Quick reply is same as a normal reply you just need to paste in the link to the image you want to share.

Thanks for that .How do 'I just paste in the link to the image I want to share '? please. I have a photobucket accou8nt with lots of my pictures- some of them quite interesting.
I open my photobucket library and click on a picture. How do I move it from there to a quick reply ? Please don't say that I paste in the link I want tgo share as I simply don't follow the train of clicks and stuff. When I open the retroride page the pictures have disappeared so I reopen the photobucket and open the library again . Then what ?
Dosn't add up to me . I must be an idiot. In fact I am certain that I am as I 've read and reread and re read the various instructions and fail each t ime. I am an idiot. Got a couple of nice rides though !!! JOnny
