Hi all, What a great site, I am a newbie looking for a problem to be solved. I have a 1978 Mk 1 Toyota Hilux imported from the states. The problem is spares, can't find clutch or flywheel for the 20R 2.2lt petrol engine.
I would really like to upgrade, need some advice on what will fit in the hole without major modification to the bodywork.
Can anybody help or advice me. Thaaaaanks

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

don't really no much about mk1 hilux`s, but I would guess pretty much any toyota engine from that era would fit without too much drama. have you tried this place? www.toyotahilux.com/

Hello and welcome! Afraid I don't have much of an idea when it comes to J-cars, but I'm sure there'll be someone here that can suggest an AE86TR123BBXX-4/A motor or something! ;D A 3.0 Supra lump would be nice wouldn't it?!
