I've been thinking about getting some people together to rent an industrial unit, just somewhere to store and work on cars.
How many cars can you fit in an Industrial unit per Square foot??
I'm finding ones round here that are 760 foot square ,.. for 221 quid a month,.. if I can get another 3 people involved that'll work out about 55 quid each a month. But how tight would the space be??

There should be some space opening up in Longbridge pretty soon, you could always try there if you need more room?! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D (Only kidding, I feel sorry for all the workers who'll be getting the sack, but I've got no sympathy for the smarmy bosses who've worked things out in such a way that they get off scott free when they wreck the company and leave thousands out of work!)

Well, you'd get 190 square feet each. How long and wide is the car you'll be puting in there in feet? I reckon it'll look lost inthat much space ;D

190 sq. ft would give you a square space of 4.2m x 4.2m for each person (or an area with a perimeter of 16.8m for to allow for cars being wider than they are long)... in theory plenty big enough. In practise, however, unless the unit is a perfect square, it may be that it can't be divided up so easily .... Also, check what these quoted figures actually mean: Is that a Gross Internal Area or a Net Lettable Area?? GIA will include areas that can't be "used" such as toilets, lobbies etc, also plinths, conduits, ducting, columns, "nooks and crannies" which eat into the available space. Net Lettable area is only that floorspace that can be used for business purposes.... HTH
