Right hopefully this is going to be a build thread as I gradually take my sierra from stock to rock ;D (well thats the plan anyway) Heres some pics before work started...... Quality So far I have..... - Removed the towbar
- Binned the hubcaps
- Fitted metal german style no. plates (see below)
Will post a pic of these fitted soon Next up is get the old girl slammed either some second hand coilovers or more traditional spring and dampers kit. I am going to college in September to become a qualified mechanic, so everything I am doing is on a strict budget DIY style!!!!!!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Looks a tidy `un, should be a blast to drive these always are. I hate to say it but reanimations right, you probably didnt want to be binning those caps they looked very straight and there will probably be someone who would pay good money for them!
The golden rule: any worthless piece of plastic that will fit onto a RWD Ford is worth a fortune - think Capri parcel shelves, rheostat switches and uncut Sierra dashboards and all this other sh8ite that I consider about as important as a built in whelk location device but other people yog up over on a nightly basis. Run after the bin man!

Blimey - I had one of those when they were new! A H reg Sapphire GLSi to be precise, in white. Fantastic for clearing the outside lane of the motorway back then! The headlamp washers are wacky - mine went at different speeds just to give an impression of *quality*!

Wheels should be fine on the front and fine on the back, though, spacers on the back would be a bonus, or even 15x7 back there. look forward to seeing em on. Good progress. like it.

EDIT: Is the spoiler drilled into the tailgate? (wondering if it'll come off easily!) It's drilled on. iirc there are two on the outside covered by little plastic covers, then two/four on the inside of the boot. I wanna remove it, need to get it off and plug the holes with grommets or sommit.

Nice car, unusual colour too. Makes me wish I'd not got rid of my last one. If you seriously lower it it will give the rear wheels too much negative camber and it'll destroy the inside edges of the tyres and make it as twitchy as f*** in the wet. I used to run one with a 30mm(ish) drop and bought a set of shims which alter the camber. However you could make one yourself. My memory of fitting it is hazy but if you remove the rear caliper and disc you'll see 4 bolts holding the hub carrier to the axle. The shims go between the hub carrier and the axle on the top bolt and the two at either side to straighten the wheel up. If you search on www.interford.co.uk you might even find someone selling the shims.

Just some wheels nut, but this also means that my mate at ATS is fitting the tyres and then the moment to truth. Will the Saab wheels fit?
