on the wbsite it says those plates are for show only y arent they road legal cos they are the dogs ;D Just not been pulled over yet! I keep my original legal plastic plates in my boot, just incase. IMO its a risk worth taking cause the metal plates suit the car and plastic plates look gash! I am soooooooo shallow

where ou get the bonnet blocks from?? AS Auto Specialists, they were £30 what are ur next plans for it? cant wait to see whats next It needs a new idle control valve urgently, its idling too high and running a bit rich. Hopfuly a new valve will sort it out! It also needs a jolly good service which I will do next time I get paid! As I said previously I would like to fit a limited slip diff from a XR4x4 or Cosworth, but thats when funds allow. I might paint the wheels black and remove the red strip in the bumper, but tbh I am pretty happy with it at the mo. Although a 2.1 pinto with high compression pistons, a ported head and hot cam. Running on a dizzy-less setup on some fancy managment system would be a dream spec! either that or a YB conversion ;D

How's the throttle cable? Glad you fixed it, looked nice on the track, never got to see it close up though as you spent most of the day on the infield or the track!

How's the throttle cable? Glad you fixed it, looked nice on the track, never got to see it close up though as you spent most of the day on the infield or the track! It's held in place with cable ties! Will post a pic tomorrow of ther bodge ;D

Hopfuly a new valve will sort it out! ;D ISCV shouldn't make it run rich, just idle like a curse word. My old one ran quite sweetly with it disconnected. Before shelling out take it off and give ait a good clean out with carb cleaner. If it's rich it might be the temperature sensor (the ECU one not the temp guage one). Looking good though.

Thank for the info mate. I've already cleaned out the ISCV with carb cleaner twice and it made next to no difference So I am going to buy a new one on pay day and see if that help

[quote author=robinxr4i board=readersrides .....debadged the back (again) unfortunatly it just goes to show how bad the paint has faded ARRRRR!!! Oh well its an excuse to get it resprayed..... Your comment are always appreciated good and bad [/quote] Hi mate Really liking the car, always been a fan of the bigger fords. Before you jump into a respray (unless you want a colour change) can I suggest that you look at the countless number of auto detailing forums out there. One of the lads I work with bought a t-top MR2 which had gone a lovely shade of pink over the years. He had a quote for a couple of grand for a full on respray (cowboys I think) and started looking into polishes and protections for the paint once it had been painted. He ended up spending a hundred quid or so on a polisher and some polish and wax and he brought his paint back from the dead and didn't need the repray at all. Oh and now he does detailing as a side line and earns as much doing that as he does in his full time job! Just thought I would mention it as it would be a shame to see money sent on something unneeded that could be spent on the car otherwise. Hope it helps. James

Your idle problems sound more like there could be unmetered air getting in somewhere, a split or disconnected hose under the bonnet would do it. The idle air doesn't affect the mixture, so I think you'd be in the clear on that one anyway

Won these on ebay............... 16x7 ford fitment weller rims only two! For a crazy £20, Thanks to Matt (aka stealthstylz) for collecting them for me ;D The plan is to get some 8" or 9" wide 16" steels for the back, stick the 7" on the front and stretch some 165 tyres over them

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I'm against the stickers but the hood looks great, i've been thinkin' about it myself. Although i'll fabricate something similar myself instead of spending 30 bucks on a simple piece of steel ;D Won these on ebay............... 16x7 ford fitment weller rims only two! For a crazy £20, Thanks to Matt (aka stealthstylz) for collecting them for me ;D The plan is to get some 8" or 9" wide 16" steels for the back, stick the 7" on the front and stretch some 165 tyres over them Sounds like a plan, although i'm not sure about stretched tires on a sierra... I'd go against the trend and put too wide tyres on instead. But stretched could look really great too. What wheels are you planning for the back? I've been thinkin' about widening some brand new fusion/fiesta 16". But thery're not exactly plentiful yet... If i remember correctly the local ford dealership wanted 80€ a piece. But i've allready ordered 2 15" KN diamonds for less than that. So now i'm trying to find 2 wheels to match them, and black steel wheels in the back for that bad ass "i'm up to something illegal" look sounds perfect ;D
