OOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!! Damn!! That looks amazing!!! Had the guys at work wondering about me staring at the screenwith a stupid smile on my face A few questions if I may, cos a load of the mods are planned for mine too... (got a 100kw 4AGE and just got my coilovers, NRCAs, Tension Control Rods and Short shift from T3). 1. Which BMW lights are those? 2. Are you using Gabe's Brake kit (over 15 inch wheel only) 3. Where did you get the camber plates from (currently thinking bout T3 again) 4. Which make shocks for what camaro (you got part number by any chance?) 5. U gonna keep original seats? I'm thinking starlet GT turbo seat as they are confy and quite small. Sorry for all the questions but it really is amazing and some great engineering too.

Hey Tony.....cheers for the oofff!
Right,some answers..
1)E30 (3 series) The non projector ones are much easier to fit though as they're shallower. Hella do some nice dark tinted ones for it 2)It's a custom brake kit,but similar spec to Gabes,if i'd did it again,i'd defo use gabes instead and get some 86 struts. 3)The camber plates are Mookeh, for an MA61 Supra....they need the body mounting holes elongating slightly to fit,but that's no biggie.I got them from ebay USA. 4)iirc the shocks were from a '78 to 80 something Camaro,i'll have to try and comfirm that for you.....They're 2" shorter than standard ones too. 5)I binned the original seats ages ago as they were way too saggy.....at the moment i'm going for generic bucket recliners from ebay for 120ish the pair until i can afford some higher quality ones.Just waiting on them now from China.
Anything else,just ask.

Thanks for that.
Watch out for the seats, I had some cheap reclining buckets. They fitted, but I needed to fit a sunroof to get my head to fit in the car ;p (i'm 6'2 though). Thats why i'm currently looking at some celica or starlet turbo ones.

Cheers guys ;D
Stuyizz....I'll have a look at what pics i have, but they are all taken in a dimly lit garage with a poor camera. If i can't find any,i could always whip the wing off and take a couple. One thing though, they'd already had some extensive surgury on them before i got to it,so i don't know how close they are to standard myself.

That looks awesome and is the true meaning of unique is the the engine you using a CA18DET or SR20DET? I hope to see completed pics soon because this car is porn, good work . Thanks for that, although i'd have to confess it's not completely unique.....i borrowed my inspiration from a lot of other Celicas ;D It's an sr20det which will be running at standard power + whatever lightened flywheel and pulleys, tubular mani and 3" catless exhaust gives me.Once i decide the rear axle isn't going to disintergate,i'll start upping the power until it does, then probably fit a hilux diff, but that'll probably mean fitting different wheels and rear arches. On a non-photographic update note,i think i've been over ambitious with the paint. I've started polishing it up after flatting it off with Halfords 1500 grit w&d and there's some deep scratches still left in it....I think there are random big lumps of grit in Halfords paper And also you can see some spray marks in the pearl basecoat under the laquer.Perhaps i'd have been better doing it a flat colour! What with the dent in the roof where my old record deck fell out of the garage rafters on it and the numerous chips etc that i've done over the last year since i painted it,it's not exactly perfection! On the bright side, one of the things i wanted in this build was to sacrifice perfection and do as much of it as i can, i've pretty much achieved this so far,so instead of spending 2 grand on a paint job,i spent about 200 quid! After all,it's going to get driven properly! I may run it for a while, iron out the bugs and then spank out on a fresh paint job if i come into some cash and resist buying some more j-tin off of ebay.....yeah right!

Thanks BC......Yeah,it took from November till bloody April to sell the FTO for the money to continue the project. That's what held me up! And i did buy,rim and slam the Supra in between Inspirational, fantastic work. That dash display does it for me. Ooh yes. And the lights. And the suspension. And the engine.....etc etc Wicked,ta! I'm glad you like the dash,it's always a bit of a gamble sticking something that modern in an old motor, but i'm pleased with it....or i will be when i get the fauly speedo replaced

Axle options: If you can find a 1st generation Celica-Supra, they have the 7.5" axle, but it still has the same bolt pattern as the Celica and the AE86. Also comes with discs. The first generation Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE is a 7" diff, with discs, and again, the same bolt pattern. However, it may need to be narrowed to fit the chassis.
For a very stout solution, the Volvo 1030 axle is genetically the same as the Dana 30 axle used in Jeeps. IE: STOUT. Also, LSD options are cheap, and discs are easy to find. I believe it is also very close to the correct width for the RA/TA-2X Celicas. However, it is a 5 lug axle.
On your car: I have only one thing I do not like, and that would be the muffle. Just...I dunno, never liked the gigantic can look myself. Otherwise, everything looks absolutely STUNNING!

First generation Celica-Supra never came to UK so an axle from one will indeed be a tough find. (main market was USA and Japan). A complete AE86 axle is very similar and only about an inch wider.

but just as strong, only some wider wheels bearings. It's the way you use it, overhere in the netherlands there's an AE86 with a 3S-GTE engine. It drives like 5 years like that, with original axle, 40.000+ km's done on an axle which should break at above 200bhp, the 3S-GTE puts about 240-250 on there atm. solution: no hard launches and no really sticky tires

On your car: I have only one thing I do not like, and that would be the muffle. Just...I dunno, never liked the gigantic can look myself. Otherwise, everything looks absolutely STUNNING! Thanks for the honesty....and you know what,i'm not exactly over the moon about it,but the whole exhaust is an adapted 3" 200sx system from the states for about £150 new! And the problem with a 3" 200sx system is,they all come with mahoosive chav boxes on the back. Most 3" cans come with massive tailpipes too,so my option would be to try and take the tailpipe of a smaller system and just replace the tip. That's for a later date though. Interesting thoughts about the axles though....what power will a series 3 7 take then, because the hilux ones are near unbreakable apparently. A complete AE86 axle is very similar and only about an inch wider. Yeah, but as TheDoctor mentions, they are essentially the same, infact my axle has a TRD AE86 limited slip in it....same spline sizes, which I think will be the weak point. Doc......i'm not sure how long i'll be able to resist giving it a hard launch, especially with the uprated clutch in it! ;D
