That volvo is flippin brilliant.
Your train journey sounds very familiar to one I took to Leeds/Ilkley recently, I actually wanted to cover someones head in a bag and bludgeon them to death with a convenient object by the time we got the in laws, then narrowly missed being run over by an old codger in a chevette when I got there, which, all things considered, would have been a plus.
Carry on sir - an example to us all. :-D

Epic thread. My late Dad and me never liked to be beaten by a car challenge, but even our exploits never went quite as far as some of yours. That Maserati job is awesome. Your perseverance with those Rover 25's is the stuff legends are made of.

What's the 'brown' forum? this is the blue forum. the blue forum is cool. the blue forum has rules and a dictator guiding force . the blue forum is a chap whose skintight trousers rest below the waistband of his underpants (in an ironic fashion of course) the brown (i prefer beige) forum is anti-cool. the beige forum is anarchic (as in Pierre-Joseph Proudhon's treatise What Is Property? refering to a stateless society based on voluntary associations.) the beige forum is like a distant relative who turns up at family events making embarrasing comments and vaguely smelling of wee. the beige forum will find you when you are ready to accept it  ps your username took me back to a very happy place   |

the distinction i see between the two forums is blue forum people like to buy rubbish old cars and improve them, whereas brown forum members like to buy rubbish old cars and revel in the misery of owning them.
