They could also be called "cleekos" not sure on spelling, drill a hole and put them in to hold a panel in place. They lock into place. Epic work by the way nobody.

I've got a question, though it might be a bit out of order to ask it. If you are doing this for someone, how much are they paying for this V8 custom mini? I have often wondered what sort of sums of money are involved when someone has an idea for a mega car project, then just pays someone else to do it all for them. Feel free to tell me to mind my own if you like.

those coppers things are cleco,s as said.they are a very hand bit of kit for temporary fastening bits together.some of the holes there in will be welded after but some will be opened up and riv nuts fitted so panels can be bolted together. made a quick thingy to rotate the body.can spin the car completely round by myself.chains are on it to hold it steady while I work

mase 44 you better learn English mate if you wanna do well at uni. at 41 I'm a bit old for text speak. queens English id fully understand ;D ;D
Tim not really got a date.think when we started we did talk about some mini anniversary next year but reality is,its such a large amount of custom work its gonna be done when its done. don't really like deadlines or budgets,as its too much like real work then. and this is just a hobby for me so real work ,family and my life comes first. not doing to bad on it though,as were only nearly a year into the build. prob about 4 months and the fabrication side will be finished. cars on hold now till the owner returns from his hols as I have to mount some parts that require him sitting in the driving position.
lewis you're welcome to pop down
philball get down the garage and practice.thats the best way to learn or book yourself an evening course at a local college that does welding
