North of Bristol. I will load some up if I get the time. Found the time... Ah I think I know the car , does it have a pinto in it? If so I was asked to get a clutch cable for that last year by a garage in Bristol. Green lane garage I think

Ok not much to update , clearing the car out to get it gone and found a bloody mouse best behind the back seat. Loads of old paper and nitrile gloves hidden behind the seat. May be on the look out for a new seat now depending how bad it's chewed. Got it running again , one carb seems to go dry and no fuel gets to it. I've stripped it twice now and can not see a reason as to why it does it. All the pipes are clear and the carb itself seems fine. Still toying with replacing them with webers if I can find a manifold for it. But then again hearing of meltdowns plans I'm keen to see how that turns out and may plan an engine swap . Car is hopefully going next week to get the welding sorted out and a good tune up as its soooo rich. The guys at area 52 sorted it but I think in stripping the carbs I've adjusted something and it just smells of neat fuel coming out the back when it finally runs. I'll post some more pics of the work when I get it back.

Have you got air getting in in the fuel lines?

Car has finally gone to get sorted all I have is an empty garage and loads of spare parts in there. I'll post pics when it's back and update with what's been done. Shouldn't be too long as I'm missing it already even though it's been a nightmare of a car. The guy who's doing doing it cut his teeth doing Healey's for an ex racing driver. So should be done properly.

Thanks meltdown great pic lol So I'm now struggling to find bits for my carbs , I need to find some 2.0 mm float valves to sort the carbs out. The main reason for it running rough and having trouble starting is the carb seals and gaskets have perished inside from years of no use. The curse word that was in the tank must have gone through and just killed them. So if anybody has some strombergs about with a 2.00 mm float valves inside could you donate them to this project. Lol. We can get them from Germany but it's an eight week waiting time and I need it sorted way before that. Any suggestions would be grateful.

Ok bit of an update , the welding is done and they have tuned the engine, rebuilt the carbs and sorted out the running issues it had. Not had chance to get it picked up yet but can not wait to get it back . Missed it and want it back in the garage lol. First plan is to get it mot'd and then run it as it is for a while until the niggles have been sorted out . Pics to follow.

Ok quick update , booking it in for an mot in September so hopefully be road ready for the September queens square meeting . Can't wait I know it will fail on something simple but who knows. Had it running again today and it does sound sweet , maybe a bit loud but I'll sort that when its been mot'd hopefully . Drove it again last weekend , only up the road I live on and it pulls well and stops ok too. I'll update when it's been sorted out.

Well I drove the car for about the third time since I've owned it to the garage for an mot and it failed. Happy to say it failed on silly things so no drama. Both front seats insecure and moving. No speedo lights and an headlight aim. Over the moon even though it failed on these but as it's been off the road since about 1988 I think she faired pretty well. Really chuffed. One big thing though is the exhaust, the guys at area 52 did a great job and it sounds well but on driving for the distance I did it sounds too loud lol. So once it's mot is passed I'm going to sort one out.
