Nah going to leave the wheels and get some more. Would be too much effort to alter them.

Right, here are the seat belt mounts Gary from Retromotorsport made and welded in for me. They are made from the captive nuts from an escort with some extra metal added to them. I just have to paint and drill some holes in the cards then bolt the inertia reals on. Reconditioned servo. Took a while to do as all the pistons were stuck. Hence the brake fluid in the air chamber. Master cylinder also rebuilt. paint has gone funny due to brake fluid shooting out when bleeding the brakes so i'll repaint that soon. And my new wheels . Huge thanks to Ian (bstardchild) for these. Top bloke! They are Compomotive five spoke 15" * 7". They were slightly the wrong ofset so I have a 6mm spacer up front. I might space the back out to as Dom pointed out they are a bit recessed. Next on the cards is to find out why the brakes are sticking. I have already found that the dust seal on one calipers had melted. So I have pulled that off. The brake adjuster on one of the drums had its studs missing so the shoes were hitting the drum and one of the drums is damaged. Possibly through my use of a FBH. ;D My thought was the master cylinder but not sure. And it now won't start. It turns over but doesn't fire. There is fuel, the choke works, fuses ok, plugs and leads ok and the battery is charged. Any ideas? As a nice surprise I also found a very substantial hub removal tool in amongst the spares I just bought so no more FBH's lol. Oh and before anyone says, I will be lowering it.

It's the steering arms that are causing the grief. Now picked up my front seats. Pics to follow. Found starting problem. The choke isn't working properly. The carb needs a rebuild but I might just chuck the twin carbs on it instead. Should have some alternative induction coming soon aswell.

Does your donor vehicle have a full set of boot trim? been after some for a while. The carpet mat that poppers to the floor, the two side panels, and the bits that cover the arches. The wheels look good too. been after a standard set. Whereabout are you?
Looking good by the way! I wish I managed to find the time to work on mine! (Oh, and had your skills too... ;D )
