Changed the lenses to some proper ones as the previous owner had broken one then glued some caravan lenses inplace. They did this on both sides. Before:
This is part way through cleaning. I have been spending lunch times doing the interior. The brown stuff around the handle is dirt and the whole interior was covered with it. When i've done some more i'll stick some pictures up.
Found this in the donor car.
Some recent purchases for the amazon. Just need some more time and funds to fit them.
This is what I was working on tonight. Going to clean the carbs and hopefully get them fitted this weekend.
The red ones pictured above are throttle bodies. Not carbs. The carbs I am putting on in the meantime are twin SU's. I need more funds before fitting throttle bodies to pay for engine mangement, wiring loom, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, TP Sensor etc etc. They will go on in the end but they are not priority, the suspension is first on the agenda. I think I will have to do more work on the engine before fitting them aswell as they are 48's.
IIRC, twin webers won't fit on rhd Amazons due to clearance issues around the brake & clutch master cylinders, so I'm a bit concerned that your throttle bodies might have the same issue I hope to be proven wrong though!!!
Not to worry Paul, I'm not adverse to moving things. I have done a quick check and I think it will be the steering bar that's gonna cause the most grief. Changing to the solid version might solve the problem. I might have to change to a pedal box as well to give more room for the trumpets and filters but that's a while off yet. I'll take some pictures to show the clearence when I get a chance.
