Once this was completed I moved on to the engine bay again but in the mean time (well when I was bored at work) I cleaned a few bits up and painted the too Controll arms and hub carriers steering rack Anti roll bar etc Then painted them, I strengthened the controll arms just for the hell of it...

I got back to the engine bay and constructed a gusset for the alternator on the o/s chassis leg as so Material measured and marked Then cut and folded Then i marked out the desired position on the chassis leg and cut away the ogigional material And weld applied

Tried the coilovers in their new homes just to see They looked good ;D Then on to some cosmetics ie lock removal and rear arch repair. I cut a piece of metal to size and cleaned up the surrounding area Welded it in and ground it back Then it was filler time! At the weekend i cut away one side of the arch o/s back and began the repair by shaping thr repair panel to a managable size Then welding it in, i had to use a crappy welder as mine was at work so its not as good as i would have liked.

I also came across this beast i love it but i'm sure there will be mixed opinions! What do we think? This is were i am up to date so i will continue with the progress as it comes thanks for the comments and support already!

Just read this whole thread - great stuff. My dad had a Long 12 a few years ago until some brat stole it. However, this one is much cooler!

agreed.. boot rack instead of roof rack. and those rims are lush. the rear end looks sweet without the bumper! top stuff
