I've definitly caught the bug again and it's this threads fault! I've set the Y block engine back 6" so there's room to fit a front mount blower for which I'll have to make the plumbing/manifolds. The big tyres are a scale 18" - perfect for lakes racing so I've turned some wheels/moon discs up. Hope I can keep my momentum up. Its better than sitting in front of the computer all evening

I'm on the home stretch of building my first ever model. Which is a Non retro. Next project is a Tamaiya MX-5 which looks waaaaay more complicated especially as I want to modify it a bit.

I may be getting a one-off 1/32 scale bodyshell from which to build a slot car replica of Madge. I'll then be able to build slotted replicas of both LNK and Madge.

This is a Jaguar XJ 4.2 that I'm restoring. I have a spare shell for it, need to alter the bumpers etc as they're all snapped.

yeh, that was one of those cut a bit more to make it equal, oops cut the other side, and oops cut again. was originally going to be a scale 3" drop lol. never could decide whether i liked open fenders with hub caps or fendered and a bare steel wheel.

I'd better pully my finger out and finish my models then. They are an AE86 Corolla with bits off an impreza (sumpguard, seats etc) and a Die Cast Ratlook Splitty.

Inspired by Seths '53 earlier in this thread, I thought I'd have a go at this. A few nips and tucks should get it looking as near to a '55 as I can, haven't done much apart from a little shaving and making a start on spraying the shell. I haven't done anything like this in years so can't claim to be particularly skilled by any means. If you look closely over the next few weeks you might spot a few ideas for my full size version.

Here's some of my 1:43 scale models First up is a Kyosho museum collection, Toyota 2000GT, Lovely very detailed model, Note: different colour spinners on left and right wheels. Next up is another Kyosho museum collection model, this time it's a Prince Skyline KPGC10 2000 GT-R (plinth says nissan!) wheels didn't come out very well in the pictures but they are a Watanabi style with larger tyres on the rear This one is an "oldies" eddition by EBBRO Prince Skyline PGC10 GT-R. Nice fat fender flares, no bumpers, mismatched wheels and a cage I should have taken it off the plinth really as it sits lovely and low The next three models are by DISM and are the buisness First up is my favorite model, it's a Toyota Cresta Super Lucent Hardtop, with a twist, there's a little lever on the bottom that adjusts the ride height from standard to slamed in tiny increments and it also came with a set of splitrims which I've fitted in place of the standard wheels, enjoy This one is almost as good as it also has the suspension adjustment but no extra wheels All the DISM models have a stupidly detailed interior and amazingly well finished paint work/trim and the metalic black paint on this one is amazing. Last of the DISM models I have is a Nissan Skyline C110 2000 GT-E-S, unfortunatly this one doesn't have the neat suspension of the other two but it does have a very cool trick that you can see in the last two pictures. This model is quite rare for having the quad round headlights insted of the later one piece jobs. How cool is that? This one is a bit different, it's a pull back plastic C110 Skyline 2000 GT-R by Maruka. even though it's a toy the attention to detail is amazing, check out the GT-R only mirrors, reflectors, stickers and spoiler Moving away from the Japanese now we have an IXO tatra 603-1, they actualy do a race version of this model but it was twice the price and I really liked the two tone of this one. Next up is a Minichamp Ford Capri Groupe 5 in Sachs livery, BBs rims, bucket seat and cage. Lastly I have this Solido opel Kadett GTE, nowhere near as detailed as the others but it sits nice and has a good size set of ATS classic style wheels. I've got tons more in boxes which I'll post when I've sorted through stuff and I may have some for sale soon as well

Painted the shell and block, will hopefully detail the block over the next week and leave the shell to fully harden before sanding and polishing. It looks a little more orange in the pics than it does in real life.
