..Think it's worth blowing my Anniversary holiday money on that rat-rod Victor? Considering he doesn't know exactly whats wrong with it MOT-wise, and I don't have time for a viewing of course Plus I'd have to pay for transporting it, as I have no way of doing so... and would have to change the paint and buy wheels. Looks like such a money-sink, but I want it, lol.

R32 GTS-T are peanuts in Japan, I know a couple of drift types who have brought them into the UK for less than a grand. In fact, when we did the Scumball 3000, the Fast Car team bought their GTS-T from Japan, and the price satisfied the '£500 or less' rule.

Are they really that cheap, i much prefer the shape of the R32 to the later models. Were they only available in 2ltr, and whats the difference in performance between these and the later cars? Sorry , i'm just presuming you know about Skylines now aren't i

Why not spend it on the Escort? a) Thanks for being the voice of reason, you're right. b) He was helpful and communicative right up until the point where I asked for the full reg number to do an HPI check, then he ceased communication altogether, so think I'll take your advice.

Whats the point of HPI'ing a 40 year old £300 banger?

LOL, not quite Rob. Though I must say I quite fancy the Pop. And am feeling quite flush this month....
Also, agree with Alf_Bo11ox, HPi'ing an old clunka like that is a slightly trivial effort.

But why though?
If it's 40 years old it could have been bumped and/or nicked several times. As long as the V5's there, and it was vaguely as described, I wouldn't be too fussed about much else.

2000's OK but don't forget they're only around 90BHP and have a 0-60 in the region of 15 seconds, at this age.....
