... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

It's not just maximum power with EFi that's the gain - especially on a single throttle system like that on a basic manifold, clearly maximum output wasn't the target! What, in this instance, you get is better throttle response, easier cold starting, increased economy, improved power and torque curves and an engine that's much easier to drive, with none of the hysteronics of carburetion Plus, as a bonus, they've added 8BHP - don't' forget that in this instance, that's an 18% increase in output which is quite a hefty leap!

cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLKSWAGEN-Bay-window-camper-type-2-v8-3-5L-HD-TV_W0QQitemZ330232127797This is my old van - it's a shed basically ;D I sold it as a restoration project but with a full ticket for just over a grand because I couldn't be bothered dealing with all the rust and filler. It then got sold on to "The Old Volks Home" (motto - I'LL CUT YA!!11 - do a search on VZi if you've never had a chance to laugh at all the funny threads about them ) who applied the interesting black and red colour scheme and installed the classy Pimp My Ride stylz interior. It's changed hands a couple of times since then and now it's worth £6 grand I honestly feel sorry for whoever ends up owning this. The conversion to V8 power wasn't done terribly well in the first place, and it was worn out when I had it back in 2004. Oh, and it's a bog stock SD1 V8 with about 155bhp when new (so probably about 100 now ;D ), not a TVR engine. This is it not long after I sold it: I was especially impressed by £650 worth of IRS suspension as well - it's standard on a Bay Window, so I'm not certain how he's managed to spend that on it
