sounds daft but I want it cut perfectly, i'd never get it right because.
1. i'd bend it cutting it, or i'd clamp it and get marks from the clamp. 2. I haven't a 55mm hole cutter. 3. the corners wouldn't be perfectly radiused. 4. the edge finish would have file marks in it 5. I don't have any stainless steel
something similar to
and I could continue all day ;D........or I could bung someone in the know a drink to knock it up in 10 minutes
I order a lot of laser cut stuff as part of my job, and you'll find that it's damn expensive for a 1 off due to machine setup time. I should think you'd be looking at £40ish for that bit. By all means have a ring/email around as there are quite a few places about-many won't be interested though. Search for 'laser profiling' as well as 'laser cutting' - same thing, different name.
Most places will be happier if you can email a CAD drawing (people I deal with like .DXF files). If you want me to do you one then PM me, would only take 2 mins.
TBH though, I'd go for doing it by hand, even if it takes you a couple of attempts the reduced hassle/cost is worth it IMO.
I get any done by a local fabrication shop, Cymarc, downside is waiting until he's nesting something in the right thickness but it does keep costs down so need to plan such work in without being in a hurry.
