 You've hit the nail on the head, this car is so cool simply because this is what Retro-Rides is about. I may be being controversial here but as the forum has grown it has lost some of its original identity (through no individual fault, just natural order) and I think sometimes it just takes a car such as this to make us stop and realise what this forum is all about. That shot is so spot on  and so is the following post That pic makes me sad and glad at the same time, glad cos it an awsome look and sad cos mine aint as good ;D |

Where in Russia do you live again? I think i asked once on hoodride, but i forgot  Been a while since i saw your car, good to see it again! I think i might have to take a roadtrip to Russia someday! |

Really love these cars, wanting one big time! can't remember when i last saw one in the UK.
Wish I'd gone down this line with a Mk1 triumph 2000 estate that I had a few years ago. Many of the 60's shapes with plenty chrome is a great base for this kind of look.
Are the 2101's still a common site on Russian roads?

Just seen this thread through the RR award links. Absolutely stunning bunch of cars.
A quick prevet from one russian to another - so nice to see the old lada's getting some love, unlike the usual stuff that gets modified and tuned in russia.

hi just seen this post ur lada and friends ladas are great, ive wanted one 4 ages one of the 1500 e s most likely, and a niva ( best 4x4 eva- beats rrovers any day) there are very few left  in the uk on a recent trip 2 st petersberg i saw lots of ladas everywhere and just wanted 2 take one home with me, i agree about the car scene when i was there, there were quite a few poorly modified ladas yugos old skodas etc and then a lot of vsmall cars modded poorly like in england when people mod cars like corsas and saxos.... btw ur car is very good is that the same colour that u could get standard on the 1200's or is it just similar?? |
