love it very well done and to a very good standard.... on first look at it it reminded me of this MmmHmmm, it has the Mk1 Camaro "hips" as noted earlier too. But the peaky beak still rings up the 1970 'Cuda (not as much beak) or espesh the 1966 AMX teague prototype (more beak). Both of those last two also are "hippy" in the rear slats. Reposted to save all the scanning back and forth... pardons all.

I admire the skills, but can't help thinking it should have just been a chopped capri. The hips look a bit awkward and the leading edge of the bonnet droops too much in the centre

I like it. I think at the end of the day you'll always have people who will sit around and say how they could have built something better, but its very rare that these people actually get off their arses and go out and do it. Fortunatley theres still people in this world who go out and do something for no other reason than because they want to and to hell with what anyone else thinks. Gentlemen, I salute you

Looks like something straight out of Motorvation, made flesh. Do you mean Motorama? Or is there some cool show/company/style that I know nothing about? Nice Capri and fantastic fabbing skills - I thought it was a Yanky build until I saw the Cotswold stone in the vid

Ah, gotcha! My bad. But lest we forget, I'm a proper journo, not a car hack Is a proper journo someone that gets paid to do it? That'll be me too.... but really I am a hack. Of course the day job pays about twice as much as an editorship at most motor magazines, which makes a full time journo career a little less attractive

Of course the day job pays about twice as much as an editorship at most motor magazines, which makes a full time journo career a little less attractive Ha, you've got yourself in a muddle. Read: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hack_writerNo, a journo isn't someone who gets paid to write. Small magazines pay any old bell-end to scribble for 'em. And for considerably less money than their stable of proper freelancers What I meant was that I am a journalist who writes about cars (and lots of other things in my own time), not a car journalist. They're two very different things... And how come you haven't spent any of your £110k salary on getting the Datsun's wing fixed, then?

That explains a lot ... ho ho ho ... only joking, you know I luvs ya. And how come you haven't spent any of your £110k salary on getting the Datsun's wing fixed, then? House + Mortgage + Bills + Other Car + Holidays + Too Many Hobbies = Less money for car based fun. Which, to bring it full circle, is why I will never build anything as ambitious as this Capri.

This is my fourth day without a cigarette. Patience - low. Sense of humour - non existent. Likelihood of gouging my own eyes out with a pen just to feel a sensation other than desperate longing - high. But yes, back OT, this Capri - tres bon

Back on topic, I love the skills and vision that went into this motor. It is always nice to see chops done well and as for the front - it looks so menacing! Rysz.

Fortunatley theres still people in this world who go out and do something for no other reason than because they want to and to hell with what anyone else thinks. ^^^ excellently said I imagine he built it to please himself and no-one else's tastes. Praps the wheels aren't the final ones, praps he ran out of cash, or praps he's ignoring the bling bandwagon. Perhaps the somewhat wide-angle lens isn't helping the pics. Etc etc... He's achieved something unique, looks good, and the skills have to be admired; but mainly the end result does.
