ascona's, manta's, and kadetts... my dream garage. you have gone to great lengths there on your kadett, much respect for your dedication! we too got all the opels in england until the early eighties. i've had kadett 'c's for 20 years, and i learnt to drive in a kadett 'd' 1200s! was like the vauxhall astra but it had round headlights, and a little boot lid instead of the full tailgate! loved that car. shame about the strange vehicle regulations in belgium, i couldn't imagine not having my kadett c 16v xe.
great, work, i'm tempted to make a rotisserie for my barn, would make life oooh so much easier
Surely all the contents of the barn would get thrown all over the place? Plus you'd need a huge rotisserie for a barn anyway. ;D
So yesterday after work went right to the garage (after buying some new blast nozzles) and started blasting. Actually took a lot longer then I expected (6hours!!) so at 1:00 am I went home... but result was a cleaaaaaan bellypan
then this morning bought a new filter for the compressor and made everything reading for spraying.
as you can see, it went perfect!!
to bad my neighbour called the cops because of all the dust from last night, and the smell from this afternoon... hope it will turn out ok. We'll see...
2 weeks since I posted but been very busy! painted the wheel arches but the 1K paint that I used 1 year ago reacted with the new 2K paint so to re-do the whole front. so blasted the whole engine compartment, the front and wheelarches (AGAIN).
but didn't want to take the risk to have bubbles in the engine compartment...
So time for pictures ;D
then started with finishing the steeringcolumn:
and in colour with all new parts and bolts
