I've booked the ferry were taking the friday night ferry @ 20:00 from dunkerque, haven't got a clue about arriving time.. will the campsite be open? on monday we catch the 14:00 ferry together with the rest.. I've decided to be a boring sod and drive the focus... ferry ticket is expensive enough...

I´m not sure how long the campsite will be open for and i´m sure HW will let us know but with a sailing time of 20:00 that will get you into Dover at around 21:00 UK time. Dover to Yeovil is 200 miles or 320km which will realistically take you best part of 4 hours to drive getting you into Sparkford at about 01:00AM - might be worth thinking about camping over at Dover, getting the tents up in daylight and bimbling over Saturday morning...?

Yeayy, my car is ready for the trip finally. Had some electrical issues with the battery being dead every morning, but fix that. Been checking all the wiring front till back, only to find out that there was a leak in the bootlight wire, so almost the last wire I checked. Changed the oil and fitted a new oilfilter aswell, new airfilter is ordered too. Bought some very hot 13" Atiwe wheels too with some proper dish, but they need straightening, new paint on the heart and the polishing could do with an update. So I guess those will not be ready in time for RRG.

01:00 AM sounds like a nice time to put up a tent..
It would be nice if there's someone around who could open the gate for us at that time..
also there are not much decent campsites around Dover.. been there before..

Would it be smart to change some euro's to ponds before I go, or is it easy to do when we are in the UK Friday?

exchange rates are pretty bad at the counter..
make sure your tank is filled with petrol and most petrol stations in the UK are as huge as a normal shopping mall over here and are equipped with one or more ATM's that usually accept MAESTRO.
So i'd risk it and leave with an empty wallet.. (don't forget ferry ticket and passport)

i used normal cash machines with my bankcard, no problem, it'll cost you a fee, but it'll be less then what the thieves nice people at the GWK/Dutch Banks ask!

Alright, only bankcard it is then. Ferry ticket is still only that printed out confirmation e-mail right? First time to the UK for me, so bit in doubt about most these things.

See you at the campsite, just tell the owners you´re part of the Retro Rides gang, they´ll point you in the right direction (normally down the bottom of row 2 )

Oldbus, if it's alright with you I will be joining you somewhere around Roermond/Maasgouw, where the A73 meets the A2. Do you have any idea at what time you will be there approximatly?
