Great to meet you yesterday dude, and thanks very much for letting me have a rummage!!
Ive just got the reel to reel working, the motor just needed freeing up and then it was off.. the tapes are proper weird, one had 1960s adverts for lucozade on! some 'chumley warner' sounding guy reads out "lucosade advertisment number 3, with suggestive lyrics" and then the piano starts up with some girl singing over the top. Theres about 5 differant songs acapella and with lyrics.
Another tape was of some kid singing and randomly saying things. Its kind of freeky. It starts off really formaly with 2 guys reading out "Configuring Fidelity tape recorder" "testing 1 2 3 4 5" and then theres a bit of music and this totaly mental kid comes on and starts talking and singing, its proper weird. Just like the scene in 'session 9' where he listens to to old interview tapes (if you have ever seen that film.)
The torch works too
Everyone get buying! Bruce is putting alot of effot into saving this stuff and still has a garage full to shift! He hasnt listed half the stuff thats there yet, id advise if you can take a trip over and have a look if your in the area!

All the best

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Don't like stretched tyres, very low profile tyres & I think a car CAN be too low. Perhaps I'm odd.

Thats exactly the sort of stuff I'm setting my sights on for sampling when I save up for some decent music software! Poop. Kudos on the money raising, I await your next postings (with less money than I expected as we are undergoing home improvements) P.S. If you want a hand with the phone conversions, I work for BT, so its an easy thing ('cept I live in Brighton... :
