Right,I'm sure some of you already know this car.It doesn't have a build thread as TBH I've never got around to doing one.
I've decided to sell it as I fancy somethin more fun again, and I don't need anything particularly cheap to run as I've got a company vehicle.
Anyway,it's a 1996 Passat 1.8 8v (90bhp) estate. Not the quickest thing in the world but it'll cruise at 90 all day long,Never ever let me down in the year I've had it.It's had a new fuel pump as the sender wasn't working, stepper motor, brakes, all brake lines, the rear axle beam bushes have been done,as well as all the top mounts.
It's running on HotTuning coilovers, which TBH have bene brilliant and actaully ride realy nicely. It's very very low,but can still carry 5 people and loads of stuff with no problems at all.
Wheel wise,it's on 15x7.5" Compomotives, which I painted orange.TBH the paint job isn't briliant, theres a few tiny runs etc,but you can only see them from very close up.Running on 4 good tyres,2xProxies and 2xYoko's.Handles surprisingly well.
It's got 152k on the clock, but it still drives smooth and true.I've serviced it regularly and looked after it as much as possible,as I used it as my daily until I had the van.The drivers seat RH bolster has dropped slightly and has a tiny bit of wear, but the interior is generally very clean. It's got front electric windows and a decent CD player in it.
Bodywork is generally very clean. There are a couple of lil rusg bubbles,1 of the edge of front wing above bumper, about the size of a 10p,one on the bottom corner on the front doors, probably about the size of a 50p.They're only surface bubbling,I was going to get them sorted when I graffiti'd it but decided not to now if I sell it.There's a bit of lacquer peel on the roof, but it's not too bad.
The wood was applied (properly I might add!) by Dale (mr.t) and actually looks really good on it.The back windows and back end have been "liberally coated" in amusing stickers.
It certaintly gets a lot of attention, makes people smile!
It's been freshly taxed, and has MOT 'til August (I think, will double check) but wouldn't mind puting another 12 on it if the right offer came along.
I'm pretty open to offers of swaps/pxs TBH.Not really got anything particularly in mind, just summat I can have some fun in ie.summat I can turn in 2 track toy, maybe a 4x4,summat old, just try me...
Only got 1 pic here ATM,will do some more this weekend!
