Popped into the lab of Prof Jonny69 this week after work. He has loads of stuff, incluing a couple of pulse jet proppelled kids scooters with impossibly long decs, and a Polaris, underwater missile launcher he built himself. Hopefully he will post up some of the other mad toys and science illustrations he has built over time. Here just for a giggle are a few pics of Jonny bouncing about on the Pogo stick he made. I will try load the one movie clip as well. Video clip... note it is just a clip. s294.photobucket.com/albums/mm90/niknakpix/?action=view¤t=P1080701.flv

We want, no NEED to hear all about your "other stuff" Mr. 69. BTW, the Converse boot is a stroke of genius.

Google Polaris missile. In J69's case, it is an illustration of launching a rocket from under warter. Mad science indeed.

I'm about to build a dual valveless pulsejet scooter which should go properly so I'll do a full thread on stuff like that. Got a few gas cannons and a monster spud gun in the pipeline as well so I'll cover those. Just stocked up on steel at Metal Supermarkets so I'm ready to go

These are the people that make life that bit more interesting!! Like to see some pics/info of the pulse jets!! RE: Spud gun- I made one last year but didn't get round to fitting the piezo sparker. 4" chamber with a 2" barrel. I'll get my erse in gear and get the sparker this week and see what I can't destroy

Oh no, this is a spudmatic that fires 15mm slugs of potato. Powered by 100psi bike pump power ;D The cannon has been done and done with baked bean cans and drainpipe and zippo fuel. Record for me is 450m with the tennis ball at Lemans 2007. Was aiming for 1/2 km but that was a bit keen and that was close enough

Wow, were we really all wearing flares 12 years ago? Epic thread dredge. Was watching this pogo stick video with my boy and remembered when grizz came round to my old place. Amazed to see the pics still partially alive in this thread! Has anyone on here got the pogo stick now? It was sold in a RRG tat auction a couple of years ago.
