1996 Astra 1.7TD (Slow Blow before you ask). Taxed end of June 09, MOT'd June 09. Five door hatchback in red.
Good bits (this won't take long): Err, it's taxed and tested and cheap. Not a great deal of rust and good fixer-upper for someone with probably little money needed to repair.
Bad bits (this will take long): Where shall I start? At the beginning of course so here goes: driver's door card removed but it's in the car. Driver's door mirror long since jumped ship. Running on poxy 13" Corsa steels not the original 14" ones. Some dents. Interior messy. No wheeltrims. Difficult to start but seeing as how there's only about 27p's worth of diesel in it this won't help. Stalls radomly (fuel?) and probably needs a service. It looks a bit cruddy.
Only have new keeper's bit, rest coming back in my name but only went off today. Collect it from my house with a full receipt though.
Now I *think* (but not sure) it could just need fuel and maybe a fuel filter and then a good run out as the starting/stalling seems to be fuel related. It could be something more but genuinely have no idea.
£125, collection only from Chester, Cheshire. probably best to bring a trailer or whatever but if you can fix it here and drive it away that's good for me.
The only guarantee with this car is the guarantee that I will laugh at you if you buy it then complain about it afterwards. It's crud and I've told you it's crud so strictly spares or repair only.
I reckon if the fuel pump is ok that and the head would fetch a nice return on eBay for my asking price (and more) and the rest could be weighed in and see you a profit if the worse comes to the worse.
If I can get time tomorrow I'll chuck a litle fuel in and see if I can persuade it to run and tickover but trust me I cannot and will not guarantee this due to lack of time and inclination.
So that's £125 collection only and as a Brucie bonus I might even swap it for something, try me. For example: decent buffer, set of 4x100 alloys/tyres (16 or 17") or just something else, try me.
