Well - as we needed this n that, and certain 'items' needed moving, collecting and were just too good to turn down - me n OB hit the road again and spread the lurv
Pics are not good - apologies in advance - I was having too good a time to concentrate on camera work!
In the words of OB(wancanobie) - Thank god it didn't rain!
So........
Headed up to Derby - middle of Fri night and saw absolutely sod all - after clarifying WE were at the right services we offloaded 2 chips potential replicas into a transit.....
(you are a brave man or a lunatic my friend, taking them on )
then pootled over to pick up FREE jaguar spares from an excellent young fella and his just as nuts family...... mum can be seen doing the Charleston - but behind is the Mk2 XJ6 he's doing and dads XJS lurks too
his mate showed up in his recently acquired XJS just before we dashed off - looked a good motor too
then we headed over to John - for spare wings for the Shogun. We got more worried as we headed further down a tractor trail into nowhere - until.......
No electricity supply - a generator and a mahoosive UPS from a redundant credit card manufacturer...... but with views like this who needs TV etc....
BACK TO CARS
Hit the motorway and lost count of the VW buses and MG's out n about..... of course no pics both of us knackered meant we were flagging a bit.
Stonking Magnette was really tanking it - 90+ for the 20mins we were behind him ;D
picked up Shogun ;D ;D ;D
Off to Grizz - dumped it there for screen fitment and shot off to pick up OB's purchase.
He looked at this
mulled over this
but neither could compare with the breathtaking beauty, the style, glamour (and peanut price ) of this
Back to Grizz's place - passed this
and this Alpine (curse word pic - sorry - but it was immaculate!)
towbars fitted to the vans and brakes done on the G-mobile etc... all went swimmingly
Food, banter and sleep later - return leg.
Smokin!
only under full load though - it is a sweet deal
Got to tunnel - had passed these guys doing 60+
they're off to Italy ......... nutterz
So - a grand total of £600 worth of tat
boarded and chilled out a bit
and even managed one more spot when we refuelled just inside belgo-land - lovely 2door
Shook hands, convoyed up to Ghent and went our seperate ways home.
To quote a VERY good friend - "I'm not so smart sometimes" but both myself and OB were definitely made up with the deals we managed this weekend smart enough we think.
Anyone commenting, thinking or complaining "that's a bit far for me" etc.... take another look at the people and places we saw in 24hrs! And what we picked up for a total of £600
then get off your backsides and DO IT TOO!!!!!
Peace y'all - off to bed knackered
