I'm with Indian Larry when it comes to being able to see things work so this was the only way forward. Could of twisted the cable about to make it easier but it'd look curse word. As for the head, this is about all it's good for.
I was going to fit it all today but it's cats and dogs outside so I don't think it'll happen.

Cheers Munkie, did you manage to convert the carb? Got the old girl out today and chucked all the linkage at it. All was going well untill the throttle jammed due to me not putting it together right. Dropping the clutch to try and stall it didn't work but did result in some impressive rubber loss. I think with some shorter trumpets and larger pump jets it'll be spot on.

T I also thought i'd stick all my rolling road results on one post so here goes.... 2nd go just after I rebuilt the engine.. Yaaaaaaaa I am just back from Marvin's first rolling road.... Suck on this Craig ;D All 1159cc of him none of this 1256cc super large engine advantage you have, and I limited the revs to 6000rpm but failed to find the engine peak power, I will next time. Sorry DJ only just seen this. I gave up on the DCOE as it needed setting up on a rolling road and i have more important things to pay for at the moment. Rebuilt yet another 150 and put it back together along with the electronic ignition. I also treated it to more waxoyl before Billing. I quite enjoy doing it now as it reminds me how nice this thing is underneath! So, not much has gone on BUT to make this update a bit more interesting how about a game of spot the difference?

Another year, another MOT passed with no advisories. Was thinking to myself on the way to the MOT how long it's been since i've even had to open the bonnet. As i thought that though the bracket on the pedal box for the clutch cable let go. Managed to get it through the MOT and home before looking at it. I'm not sure if it was the 30 year old cable seizing or the stiffer clutch but i've braced it and dripped 3in1 down the cable and it's like driving a new car now. This is an after pic, not sure why they didn't do this as standard because the original is asking for trouble.

Ha ha nice one Volks, if only!
Bit of charge in the battery last night and all is well today. Going to throw it straight into the 25 mile work commute from tomorrow, maybe, if it's nice out.

That is better, gotten rid of those daft wheels which look like they were modelled on a tractor ;D Are you lost? I had a dream last night about gearbox problems and as if by magic, today 5th gear dissapeared. Shame i didn't dream about winning the euromillions. The box is now out and ready to be pulled apart tomorrow to investigate. Serves me right for using Ford parts i guess? Pics, cursing and tears to follow.
